More About Me
Hello, I am looking for a dance partner with whom I can to practice and take private lessons. I am a researcher and need fun time to get out of the brain. I used to compete on the collegiate scene about 15 years ago and am looking to slowly get back into the dance world mostly for fun and relaxation because I love to dance. As a child I was trained in pre-professional ballet so I am pretty keen on technique. My favorite part about dancing, especially with a partner, is learning new ways of moving and controlling the body. Often I love dancing just to learn technique, but it is totally fun to perform.
I'm Looking For
I am looking for someone who is eager to practice and be relaxed about the dancing, while still serious about learning. I am not so interested in competing and winning competitions, but love to practice and get better at partnering technique and trying new ways of knowing the body and the kinesthetic brilliance of the body. That said, I can get serious about people who commit to practicing when practicing and show up. This cannot be my number one priority in life because I am researching and have a full time job with which I travel a good deal. Yet when I am practicing I am practicing and on time and serious. I would like the same of a partner. I also just love to dance and laugh and have fun with it, so someone that can be serious about technique and committing to times scheduled while also just loving the fun of dancing.
