More About Me
I was on a ballroom team for a few years ago in grad school - learned some of the bronze steps in each of the 10 international dances, and went to a bunch of college comps. These days, I\'m not big on technique, and could definitely stand to improve - but mostly, I miss the fun of dancing and meeting new people through dance. I tend to prefer the standard dances, with the exception of tango, but I\'m perfectly happy and willing to dance latin as well (would love to learn to do more intricate Rhumba routines). I\'m open to learning more hustle, swing, and salsa steps, too - but honestly - I\'m not much of a club dance person! I\'m also open to learning other forms of partner dance.
I'm Looking For
Ideally, I\'m actually looking for a *group* of people around my age, somewhere in the San Francisco Bay area, who might like to go ballroom dancing now and then. It\'s just a lot more fun dancing and learning new steps and dances with a bunch of people who are just out to have fun by learning the moves. So - my ideal partner would be someone who is interested enough in dance to want to learn new steps and establish a good and comfortable dance connection. But - I\'m not looking to compete, and I\'m not interested in finding a partner who spends every waking moment thinking about dance, either! It\'s been a few years since I put on my dance shoes on a regular basis - and I do feel a bit rusty in remembering some steps - so I\'m just looking for a group or a partner who is in the same boat, and just wants to get out there on the dance floor again! :)
