More About Me
I always liked dancing and always enjoyed myself at dances. I am not so sure why it took me so long to get dancing lessons but since I started recently it has been a source of tremendous excitement and anticipation. I think dancing is magic, fantasy, like synchronized swimming (without water) to music, youthful fun, and an artistic bodily effort performed to music. When an entertainer performs on stage he/she has everyone focused on him/her for exclusive enjoyment/attention. Similarly, dancing allows you the incredible sensation of an artwork that creates excitement and at the same time enjoys the attention it receives. You are both the entertainer and the entertainee. Yet dancing -moving the body rhythmically in time to music- and creating various imaginative scenes, is a process that must be learned, rehearsed, mastered and continued. It is the only art form that combines athleticism, art, culture, music, exercise, grace and style so well. My hope, my dream, is to find that significant someone who can accompany me on this mystical journey to multiple destinations of performances, dancing indulgences, learning, mutual helping/adjustment and joy. It means making the time for meaningful rehearsal, mutual adjustment even sacrifices for continued bliss and a sense of a personal accomplishment that can be displayed. I prefer some who can practise during the week and dance on the weekend. However, I am flexible. The sky is the limit in terms of goals. The key is the enjoyment of the journey. When all is said and done IT MUST BE FUN.
I'm Looking For
I am looking for someone to dance with on a regular basis. That person should share my enthusiasm and be able to dance with me on the weekends or in classes during the week or both. I like Latin- especially Salsa and Meringue- Ballroom and Swing. The ability level of my partner is not so important as their availability and willingness to persevere for excellence. I started taking dancing lessons recently, but I intend to be an excellent dancer in a short time. The sky is the limit but fun must always be present.
