More About Me
I just love to dance, have high energy, and am always sensitive to a new partner's ability or comfort level. I am at ease dancing with experienced dancers who just need a gentle touch for a lead, and considerate with beginners who have to practically be dragged across the floor. I have a very strong lead, but allow my partners freedom to express themselves.
I am well educated and a rather decent conversationalist on a range of subjects.
My favorite dance styles are East Coast Swing, Cha-cha, American Waltz, Samba, and American Foxtrot. Also dance Salsa, Viennese Waltz, American Tango, Hustle, Night Club Two-Step, West Coast Swing, and Merengue, but my repertoire of leadable steps is smaller. (I can do free-style when I have to, but it is my least favorite and I'm totally bored with Electric Slide!)
I have also participated in Israeli, International Folk, and Contra-dancing, and can Polka up to 43 revolutions per minute. In March, 2012, I also served as one of four dance hosts on a Holland-American 30-day cruise to Hawaii and the South Pacific.
I'm Looking For
For partner I prefer trim and fit; petite; age 45-65 years; Asian, Latin or Caucasian; and 5 foot 6 inches or shorter. Also, a sense of humor, a big smile, and an easy-going, but passionate attitude about dancing are big pluses. Experience is not so important right now, but I will probably feel terribly inadequate if you are too expert!
