More About Me
I am a Ballroom Dancer. I found the dance three years ago and have intensely hyper focused on it since. In that time I have taken every opportunity to get better, and it has lead me here.
I am a manager of a Ballroom and a competitor in Standard, Latin, and West Coast Swing. I love to compete. I love the atmosphere of being surrounded around those who are my equal and better in dance. The sheer amount of energy that comes from being around dancers is one of the best I've have ever felt.
The Reason of why I dance are as follow:
Control
Expression
Connection
All of these reasons—Control, Expression, Connection—are by themselves blessings, miracles that bring me so much joy and happiness that I could weep. But together… together… the experience is on a level reaching spiritual awakening. There are no words, no metaphors, no phrases that I am aware of that can capture how beautiful these moments are. When you are in perfect sync with your partner, both of you are putting everything that you are into the dance and hearing everything each other has to say. When that happens, it transforms the dance to a point where there is no lead or follow. There are no steps to remember. There is only you, your partner, the music, and constant creation—when you reach that moment of expressing all of your life and feeling and expressing all of your partner’s life, when you are experiencing two lives at the same time.
This is why I dance.
I'm Looking For
What I want is to find someone who will push my dance to levels I can not reach on my on anymore. Someone who drive to to learn an get better equals my own. For so long I have been given partners that would not put in enough time, or didn't care, or in the end I had to teach. I want someone who will challenge me to be better.
