More About Me
I am planning to move back to Kitchener or Guelph area. I was active in International Style Amateur competition in the late 80's for a few years. Won some first, second and third place. I completed the Silver Latin exam with high honours. I learn very quickly and would have liked to continue but my partner quit and didn't find another at that time. I then taught at Fred Astaire Dance Studios in KW for a short time and in so doing learned some American Style. Having a strong interest in many styles of dance I then pursued learning Middle Eastern Belly Dance. I performed in a few recitals including a solo, and began my own beginners class for a time. I didn't need a partner! Circumstances of life lead to being out of the dance scene for a long time.... with some Middle Eastern classes and workshops periodically. When in Kitchener there were not many partners to be found in the early 1990's and I really miss dancing!
I'm Looking For
I would really love to get back into the dance scene with a partner. I'm interested in performing, social dancing and possibly competition with the right person. I'm more confident than I was in my twenties when I started taking lessons and competing. There weren't many men my age at that time in Kitchener Waterloo into Ballroom so I'm hoping now will be a better time to find a partner! I AM in Owen Sound but willing to travel to Collingwood, Guelph, Barrie or KW areas. I still have family in Waterloo and work part time so I have time for dance
