More About Me
In my far past I was a competitive studio dancer. In college I studied modern dance and learned to dance salsa for fun. I spent college and grad school socially Latin dancing in the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia). I did a miniscule amount of East Coast Swing and West Coast Swing. Life took over and I didn't dance for a long time, but two years ago I started learning to dance salsa on2 and dabbled in kizomba and bachata. Then I ended up having a few surgeries and my poor knee is still healing. I am looking for someone who wouldn't mind practicing basics with me while regain my strength and help reinforce the timing of the dances I know. I won't ever be able to dance like I did when I was younger, but my heart still beats faster when I hear music and I desperately want to get back out on the dance floor in any capacity!!!
I'm Looking For
Because I am recovering from knee surgery I need to treat my knee gingerly. It's unstable :-( That means I don't get to exercise like I once did and I can't dance like I used to. I am looking for someone who wouldn't mind messing around with the basics and timing and isn't looking for dips, death drops and spins. I'm talking beginner basics for salsa and kizomba. I'm talking taking me on as charity. Maybe you'd like to take a class with me?! Maybe just practice. Whatever we do, I just want to have fun dancing again!
