More About Me
I have taken ballet on and off the last 7 years, 10 years on and off in musical theater. I've only recently found my passion in ballroom dance and want to continue to practice and train with the right partner. My biggest love is Argentine tango but I still love Waltz/Viennese waltz, bolero, salsa, rumba, and am open to learn and incorporate other styles into my repertoire for contemporary routines and I'm very interested in picking up Int.Smooth and Int. Rhythm. I just had my first dance competition and would like to still pursue dance competitively. I do wish to state that I will be leaving for Ireland on an internship from Jan, 9 219 - March 10, 2019. But I will continue with lessons so I wont be rusty when I return to the states. If I find the right partner before I leave, then I'd like us to hit the ground running once I return. I am very dedicated at improving my dancing and learning as much as I can as long as its with the right person.
I Have a BFA in film & television. I love video games, film, books, art, theater, writing, making people laugh, good conversation & learning new things. I'm an empathetic hopeless romantic, and a dreamer. I have a drive and ambition in me that won't let me give up. My desires burn a hole in my soul unless I pursue them. Iam always eager to learn or to help.
I'm Looking For
I would prefer to have a partner I can gel with on a personal level. Someone with a good sense of humor, an adult in mind but a kid at heart. I would like a partner that has a drive and passion that can match my own and is a good listener. Anyone that can challenge me to be a better dancer excites me. Looking for someone who wants to learn with me or teach me, or deal with the fact that I'm always trying to learn more new moves and would like to find someone who is willing to try new moves dips and tricks. Also, I want someone who is as enthused and passionate about the feeling and expression of our performance as they are about the technique and steps.
I would like a partner who is at least as experienced as I am, if not a little more so only because Id like to brainstorm original choreography and it helps to have someone in the dynamic with a bit more technical know-how. Id like someone a little taller than me but its not a deal breaker. Also, race or ethnicity don't matter to me, just so long as we can effectively communicate and our rapport is strong.
