More About Me
I’ve been a feeestyle dancer all my life. People used to pay me money to do the twist when I was 4 years old (jukebox quarters heheh). I’ve done some line dancing both CW & hip hop, Cupid shuffle, electric slide, stroke, wobble, and wop. Learned the cowboy cha cha partner dance quite awhile ago and two step, during a CW phase. Dancing is my favorite form of exercise and entertainment. Know a bit of salsa, Cumbia, cha cha, salsa mostly from you tube. I feel I am a quick start and would like to take lessons for some swing and shag dances. I can follow a good lead pretty well without stepping on toes. I would love to have a dance partner to learn with me and maybe participate in events.
I'm Looking For
Someone who would like to learn some partner dances with me like the Carolina Shag, Lindy Hop, eventually Jive (however, I have two metal plates in my lower right leg that I am still not used to do not sure I can hop up and down much with it. Been trying to learn the shuffle dance, but I think fear is keeping me from going for it. Some days I can move quite well and others not so well. Others with this injury say it can take quite awhile. It will be one year Dec 15. Dance moves are good to help my muscle memory and rebuild my calf along with proprioception via moves like the grapevine. I consider myself outgoing and fun and would like to find others with similar dance goals. Not here to find the love if my life...just someone with whom to dance the night away. 😉
