More About Me
I started with east coast swing when I was 14, and I have been dancing as often as I can ever since! Since then I’ve done a ton of that, a lot of lindy, a lot of salsa & bachata, and a lot of Argentine tango. I once trained for and competed in a semi-pro salsa competition in Chicago, and I would like to do a lot more of that kind of thing. I would say competing for fun would definitely be a goal. I’d be interested in being on a team, perhaps, but I’d really like to train with one partner! I ended up becoming a professional singer instead of a dancer, but I still dance and take classes when I can (I’ve been studying baroque dance for the last 6 years). Covid has made social dancing hard, so I’m looking for someone to practice with without exposing myself to so many people in the mean time. If you are not interested in competing, that’s alright, too, I just want to dance, and I want to dance regularly.
I'm Looking For
I would really love to work with someone who I can learn and get better with. I want to be challenged! I can teach a little, but the point of finding a partner to practice with for me would definitely be to grow and get better. Or maybe we could compromise, I could be taught the dances I’m not an expert at and I could teach my partner the ones I’m really confident in, if need be. I’m also okay with practicing with a partner to just dance for now and not compete, I would like to be dancing regularly.
