More About Me
I grew up dancing in a studio, tap, jazz, and hip hop. I danced hip hop competitively for 3 years. I stopped dancing after high school when I joined the Air Force. I separated from the military in 2017 and went on to attend college in Philadelphia. It was 2018 when I discovered social dancing (salsa) and I fell in love. I took lessons and danced about 5 nights a week. At the this time, 2019 I was living in Boston and my salsa teacher encouraged me to try International Latin. I took his advice and started training to compete. I moved back to Philadelphia and continued to train with Rene Ostark. We only had time to do a Samba showcase and then COVID hit. Unfortunately, with the pandemic I stopped training. I am now living and working in Pittsburgh where I train with Dmitry Demidov. In February 2022 I returned to taking 1 private lesson a week and training in the ballroom about 6 hours a week.
With a partner I would like to take one private lesson a week, and train about 10-12 hours a week. My goal is to dance at the open level and get to the professional level of dancing.
