More About Me
I've done a wide range of dance and I enjoy variety rather than focusing on one style or type of dance. I love vintage waltzing in grand costume, East Coast Swing, lively Zydeco or Salsa Rueda, and West African partner dance. I used to be in a performance Americana dance troupe (we toured at summer international dance festivals or locally here in Northern CA) doing choreographed squares and reels, Cajun/Zydeco, swing, waltz, and clogging.
I'm Looking For
I'm looking for a strong leader who sees dancing as a "fun conversation" rather than serious sport with defined roles. I've been told that I'm a dream partner...agile, graceful, lively, and easy to lead when given clear signals. As in other facets of life, when dancing I like to be spontaneous, free and flowing, rather than counting my way through routines or feeling that moves follow a mechanical pattern. And when I feel "in the groove" with a good partner, I love to laugh and show enthusiasm (thus Tango is not for me.) Dancing for me is meant to be fun!
