More About Me
I took about 4 months of lessons recently (2 times a week plus some social dancing). I can do the basics for Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, Tango, Hustle, Salsa, ChaCha, Swing, and Bachata - I may need a refresher as I stopped lessons and prefer to do this with a partner. There is also a place that does West Coast Swing and I went to one class and it was fun. Starting with lessons and social dancing but would eventually like to do performances and perhaps even competitions after I'm a lot more fit. I'm considered curvy - right in between regular clothing sizes and the smallest rack in the plus size places. I wear L/XL/sz 16 dress/40D. I can keep up just fine but I want to dance regularly enough that I can get down to smaller sizes and feel even more confidant. But losing weight is not my primary goal - it's a hoped for side effect for the love of dancing.
I'm Looking For
Someone who is also starting out and wants to achieve similar goals as I do. Whatever your religion is it's good with me as long as it's not where you're trying to convert me. Political leanings are a little more important - looking for a person with left-leaning views (who has compassion and empathy for other people) as I think we'll enjoy eachother's company more if we agree on political goings on. My goal is to dance, have fun, develop a friendship, and achieve dance goals together. Would be nice to take a lesson once a week and then attend a regular schedule of dance events nearby for frequent exercise and to practice what we learned. We would split costs on everything. Female leads welcome.
