More About Me
I have been contra dancing all of my life, but about a year ago took up ballroom dancing, and have since expanded that to include an assortment of other dance styles as well!
I regularly attend private lessons at a franchised ballroom dance studio (I am "Bronze 2") near me, and attend group lessons and social dances there and in Boston, as well as weekender events. My primary dance interests are folk, WCS, Latin, and ballroom. In particular I would like to improve my WCS, cross-step and rotary waltz, kizomba and zouk. I also dance a lot of hustle, salsa, bachata, waltz, tango, and Argentine tango. I have done a little bit of almost every dance.
My interest in dancing is primarily social, but I've recently been competing in WCS. I would be open to competing in other dances, but probably not ballroom - ballroom is overpriced and I can get much more out of my money competing and attending events in other dances.
I primarily lead, but I am happy to follow on occasion.
