More About Me
First learned to waltz at age 6, and took social ballroom lessons ages 9-14, sought out top SF Bay Area teachers for private lessons at age 38, did a few competitions, Brigham Young Adult Ballroom Camp advanced classes, formation teams and many showcases. My first dance partner was my husband of 39 years, and I have had several year-long or greater partners who specialized in one dance since. Currently seeking a competent local practice or social dance partner (leader) in international or American Style Ballroom, Hustle, Tango and/or Swing. Mother and first coach of a former U.S. International Style Under-21 champion.
I'm Looking For
A skilled, polite, leader, ideally with a good sense of humor, who appreciates a very experienced cheerful follower whom others describe as "light on her feet" and « like driving a Maserati » with excellent balance, energy, stamina, who had mastered the American and International syllabi and is willing to hire an instructor who has appropriate credentials to help me brush up while partnering at social dances after years spent back-leading beginners. I like to spin, take long strides, and am flexible. Alternatively, I am willing to practice with and help an intermediate dancer who wants to learn more patterns and better styling.
