More About Me
I love the sensuality of Latin dance. I'm focused on Salsa and New York-style Cha-Cha for now, have started on Bachata and would like to add Rumba and West Coast Swing later. I'm not particularly interested in competition, but I don't rule it out either. Mostly I hope for a partner who enjoys dancing for the pleasure in the movement and in our connection. My instructor says I'm at intermediate level in Salsa. I've been dancing solo (free style) all my life since I was a teen. I still love its free expression, but partnered dancing is more fun, and at moments, magnificent. After having had to be responsible for a lot in my life, following a leader is the sweetest freedom for me.
I'm Looking For
I'd like a man who enjoys Latin dance on a regular basis for the sheer pleasure of it, maybe for us to develop our own moves, too, because creativity is exciting. I'm experimenting, dancing Latin to 60s Motown and classic rock as well as to Latin music; the beat lends itself beautifully to loads of my favorite songs. I'm 5'7" and prefer for my partner to be at least my height; taller is even better. I put "1,000 miles" on my profile to say that in case either of us is traveling, we could meet in one or the other's area for dancing while we're there at the same time. If my partner is close to my age (early 70s), he might enjoy how flexible and energetic I'm told I am, while we could share some humor about changes that age brings, and could help each other strategize to keep our health and stamina at top performance.
