More About Me
Back in the late 70s and early 80s I lived in Beaumont Texas and that’s where I learned to country western dance. I learned the Texas two-step, waltz, polka. I loved it! I wouldn’t say I was a great dancer and certainly not the best on the floor. But I had two partners n taught C&W dance at the Beaumont independent school district for several years. In 1984 or five I moved back to Illinois, which is home, and I haven’t been on the Dancefloor since. I miss it. I would love to find a partner to see if I still have anything left and try to recapture some of the enjoyment I experienced in my youth dancing.
I'm Looking For
I’m looking for a strong partner who is a better dancer than I am and knows how to lead. Looking for someone patient and someone who wants to have fun on the dance floor.I’m looking for something That’s relaxed fun and friendly. I’m tall so a partner for me should be around 6 foot or so. I’m not looking to date or fall in love but I am open to friendship. I am a smoker, but I don’t drink. When I was young and dancing, it was always about the dancing. There was a time for drinking and there was a time for dancing. I do not believe I would find it enjoyable to dancewith someone that wants to drink and dance. Unless it was just a small amount. I’m not particularly fond of line dancing and don’t really have an interest to learn it. To me the joy was dancing in unison with a partner and perfecting our style.My style of dancing is from the 1980s and maybe there isn’t anybody around that does that anymore? I don’t know. I hope they’re still some of us out there.
