More About Me
Hi,I presently live in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, Canada but love to travel, meet new people and dance along the way. I am a retired physical education teacher who has lived and worked in Canada, Europe and Asia. I also enjoy many other pastimes such as sports(pickleball, tennis, golf, cycling, skiing, rollerblading, walking, hiking), theatre, musicals, dining, special getaways and am always willing to try a new adventure. I enjoy most types of dancing but love swing, country and ballroom the most. I have learned mostly international standard and latin but would love to learn more American style. I am always eager to practise and learn new moves and styles. I am outgoing and friendly and very easy to get along with as a dance partner. As most of our lives are hectic and stressful, I believe that dancing should be relaxing and for fun. I love to dance for the sheer joy of it and the satisfaction you can achieve by working together as a couple to communicate and create something beautiful. I believe this is also life's greatest joy--to live, love and laugh through the good times and bad with that special partner. I'm Looking For
I'm looking for a friendly, outgoing middle aged male(young at heart!) to enjoy social dancing with. Ideally, it would be someone close to my home so that we could enjoy dancing regularly but my mind is always open to other possibilities. During the winter, I enjoy visiting Mesa, Arizona so would love to meet new partners and experience the many great dance places in the Phoenix area. As I love to travel (especially cruising and to warm places), it would be fun to visit new places and meet interesting people who love to dance. I am passionate about swing, country and ballroom but am able to dance other styles as well and am always willing to learn something new. As dancing is my hobby and not my job, I prefer partners that are relaxed and can laugh at themselves and their partners' mistakes. I find this helps in life as well. My dream would be to find a dance partner who would also be my life partner but let's take the first steps on the dance floor and see what magic develops.
