More About Me
I've been square dancing for about 34 years and enjoy going to weekend conventions a few times each year. I dance at the Plus level, sometimes APD when available, with lots of energy and lots of spins and twirls, if my partner enjoys that. Would like to take an Advanced 1 and 2 level class.
I love east coast swing, and was taking lessons for ballroom and west coast until my teacher got injured. I'd love to get better for social dancing, to be able to dance anywhere, to anything (almost). Not really wanting to go into competition, but just get better to be able to dance more and feel comfortable in any situation.
I'm Looking For
I'm seeking an energetic dancer who can follow and add styling. I'd like to go swing dancing once or twice a week,and eventually work up to being able to dance at one of the Friday night ballroom dances around the valley, in addition to the square and round dancing I'm currently involved with. If you already square dance that's a plus in my book, but not mandatory. I enjoy Round dancing, too, Phase II dances, and want to learn III, IV, and V.
I'm a beginner to intermediate at other types, like East coast swing and ballroom styles, but would love to learn more, maybe Lindy, even attend more classes for ballroom or other styles. I'm learning a few new steps and working on my leading skills. I would like to get to a similar level with ballroom, east and west coast swing in order to attend weekly social dances and maybe weekend conventions someday.
