Advanced ballroom dancer (teaching ballroom dance on the side) with sport competition and professional music performance backgrounds; Well educated & have many skills; Creative at work and fun; Very healthy & energetic with excellent personal hygiene. No smoke, alcohol, illegal drugs. I'm a decent person both inside and outside.
This AD is for dancing: training, practice, excise, enjoyment. The other options depend on the training result. I have been considered a decent and handsome man; and I was a music (Solo Lyric Tenor) professional performer for several years selected by auditions. I don't request or give a photo at a dating website. I prefer to meet up with a real person in a studio and try dancing 5 minutes first rather than prejudge a dancer's body/skill by photos. I've given enough info as above for a initial try-out. All we need is a five minutes dancing in a studio/party (chosen by you) to find out if we have potential for DP. Further info and intense try-out will be needed only after a successful (initial) try-out. It's ideal but hard to find a compatible partner for both dancing and life at high level. This AD is for dancing only. Let's start simply and focus on dancing. I can go NYC for try-out and practice. I usually dance 1-2 times/wk, 4 hours/each.
I'm looking for a BALLROOM DP to practice SHOW CASE/(Fusion) dance, similar to these in "DANCING WITH THE STARS". That is, the relationship is first for dancing (art/sport/fun) but not for dating; the kind of dance style to do is NOT-TOO-STRICT ballroom - Showcase. Someone's dating preferences (at issues, such as income, race, age, children etc) are irrelevant here. All it matters is the compatibility of our BODY SIZE/TYPE, (potentially) DANCING ABLITY, ART TASTE and personality.
I'm Looking For
I expect my DP to be PHYSICALLY COMPATIBLE with me. How many steps you have known is not important/required as long as you are light on feet and good at responding to music and lead. If you are not at advanced level yet but fit my search, I'd like to help you to get there ASAP; If you are already at advanced level, I expect you to OPEN beyond syllabus events, and be able to follow the lead extemporaneously, but not limited to a pre-programmed and often rehearsed routines. Nobody is perfect. If I have to make a choice between two: I'd prefer to work with a potentially artistic dancer with possibly inaccurate steps rather than a strict "step machine". It'd be a plus if you had some training in ballet/jazz, or figure skating, or gymnastics, etc. Good taste and view/judgment for music and style/manner, and dancing philosophy are important at high level. M & K Hilton's dancing style shows/embodies my taste/ideal on BALLROOM dance. I also expect my DP being a decent person, both outside and inside as I am. Natural pretty and simplicity often are my preference/choice. I especially appreciate and reward a nice and reasonable personality. Several options for my DP search: short-term, single or several selected styles (recently I concentrate on Standard, honing some advanced figures, such as these presented by J. Hearn and demonstrated by M&K Hilton) from that I hope gradually to build an overall compatible and friendly DP relationship, and then more doors may open. "Less may Become More." I prefer simply to meet a real person rather than prejudge by the photos, i.e., no photos needed/given now. Let's first just casually try a few dances like strangers in a studio party. If feel OK, we can dance and talk more, and then do an intensive try-out; Otherwise, just enjoy the party. I'd like to hear from you if you fit and agree above. Thanks.
