More About Me
Some of you browsing my profile will probably know me from swing dancing, and now you know I need a serious partner. If you don't know me, I'm known as "The Zoot". I've been progressing at a rapid pace, I used to be on tv, newspapers, doing paid shows, etc, and recently getting momentum with that again. If you were at the Clearwater Jazz Fest, I was the guy right infront of the band dancing. I am not afraid to dance infront of thousands of people, I like dancing for small crowds too. I want to become one of the greatest swing/lindy dancers in the world. I am trying to bring back the very energetic old style. Seems too many today swing ballroom and is nothing like the old movies you've seen. I do aerials as well, and am inventing some news ones that will blow away ones similar to them.
I'm Looking For
Before you read whats below, if you'd like to meet or dance just socialy, thats fine. I know all of the local places to swing dance at, etc and like meeting new ones. What I'm putting below is for those who want a SERIOUS dance partner. So don't let whats below scare you from just dancing casually, ect.
Socially I'll dance with anyone, but I need a SERIOUS dance partner. Here are a few requirements for the girl I'll take for this. If you've never danced before and first time for everything, I can't do that. Reason is I'd be teaching you how to dance for quite some time before I can progress or learn past that. Any girl I take I will be teaching at first, but will be much shorter time. If you have dance experience, we'll do a few dances and I'll get a feel if your close enough. Next is you can't be in a relationship. The reason is because I'm not going to train up a girl to be the best then quit being my dance partner to teach her guy or deal with her having jealously problems on his part. So this has nothing to do with me trying to date my dance partner. Infact I've never dated a dance partner of mine unfortunately haha. Third, you must be serious about this. Need to practice once a week minimum in addition to a public dance each week, which I've already got setup. If a habit forms where most of the time you can't practice, you allow stuff to come up or take priority it won't continue. If you just want to reserve someone for public dances and thats it, I'm not for you.
Last, bodytype. I'm 6'4, I can dance with short, but pref 5'7+. Weight - no more then 140. You must be fit, because the aerials I will teach you will require work on your part as well.
Finally here is what I want to do, and hopefully I can find someone to take this ride with me. If your my dance partner, you'll be in the spotlight. Most recently was infront of several thousand at a jazz fest, on tv, news, etc. I love dressing the part and putting on a show. The more I progress the further I want to take this. Within 1 year, I want to be national champion level, and 2 years world champion. This should result in prize money, dancing on movies, tv, maybe free worldwide travel, etc.
As of now this will NOT be a fulltime thing, I'm just wanting perhaps big local events maybe twice a month and national/worldwide events maybe couple times a year.
