More About Me
Hi, Thanks for reading! I love dancing, it's more than fun, it's a passion. I'm just an amateur who dances for fun, socially. I love 70s/80s music, Disco, Latin music - Salsa, Cumbia, Bachata, Merengue, Bolero, Tango, Latin Waltz. I've been dancing since I was 10 in Peru, mostly Latin rhythms. When I came to the US, at 19, I got hooked on rock, Disco/Hustle. I can ballroom dance a little but I've never had any training, although I can pick up anything very quickly. I could dance/train every night; I love going out dancing on weekends, but I don't have a partner nor a girlfriend; I'm hoping to remedy that with your help. I was married for 23 years to someone who didn't dance at all; it was torture all those years of not having a dance partner. I hope to be a professional dancer in my next life ;-)
I'm very romantic, affectionate, caring, considerate, kind, sweet, loving, honest, fun, spontaneous, chivalrous, passionate, compassionate, energetic, intelligent, spiritual, faithful, liberal, un inhibited, and open-minded. I have a great sense of humor and I love the same in a woman.
I'm full of energy and with lots of activity in my days. I'm unusually healthy. I exercise almost every day - weight lifting, jogging, martial arts, racquetball, yoga, tai-chi - still trying to lose more than a few pounds; yes, I'm overweight, but truly working on it. I'm hoping to have a decent body in a few months. Dancing will be a big part of my program; would you like to be part of it?
I love having long conversations over dinner in a quiet place, followed by a long walk by the water. I like to meditate and do it almost daily - trying to reach enlightenment :-) I'm a true animal lover. I have dogs/cats. I'm vegan (vegetarian for 30+ years); not so easy in Texas! It would be so nice to find a vegetarian or vegan partner. I'm a pretty good cook, but don't like to follow recipes, so I make up fancy irreproducible meals. BTW, I just don't like to drink liquor at all, it's nothing religious, nor am I an alcoholic.
Another big passion of mine is poetry. I'm an amateur poet. I've been writing poetry since I was 15. I have published 2 books of poetry (spiritual and romantic poetry); working on third. I'm usually reading several books at once, on various non-fiction topics: poetry, nutrition, enlightenment, higher levels of consciousness, life after death, spiritual development, near death experiences, Buddhism, comparative religion, eastern philosophies, etc. Thanks for reading!
I'm Looking For
I meditate regularly. I don't watch TV, I do love a good movie: romantic & comedies. I love going to the beach. I grew up 3 blocks from the ocean and still crave it. I enjoy going to nude beaches and I hope you wouldn't mind going with me. I came to the US on a full international scholarship to study piano and mathematics. I wanted to become a concert pianist, until reality hit me. Then I switched to math and Computer Science (BS/MS/PhD).
I traveled extensively for over 25 years. I used to be a very successful independent computer consultant running my own business with over a hundred corporate customers around the country and abroad. Now I work as a Computer Scientist. I'm also a professional martial artist. I used to own a small martial arts academy where I taught Kung-Fu, Tai-chi, Meditation Yoga, Kickboxing and Eastern Philosophy. I've been practicing Kung-Fu for 40 years.
I believe compassion and love are the keys to solving the world's problems, besides a healthy dose of humility and no ego in the way. I really think that laughter is the key to having fun and feeling young, besides lots of exercise.
I'm very happy. I just miss loving and having the love of a partner, holding hands, cuddling, kissing sweetly and kissing passionately. I'm hoping to meet a lady who loves to dance (except country) with a beautiful soul, a great smile, self confident, happy, very affectionate, uninhibited, not embarrassed by public displays of affection. She keeps herself in good physical shape and is not afraid of a hard workout at the gym. I don't care if you're overweight, as long as you're trying, as I am.
A lady who is spiritually aware (not religious), open-minded, liberal and accepting of those who are different. Someone who knows how to fully live in the present, has a big heart to help the less fortunate, and a smile to melt my heart. She knows how to be flirty, feminine and sexy (and loves it) and is comfortable in jeans as well as in a little black dress, skirts, high heels, or a bikini. She wears her hair long. Looking for my best friend first, letting our chemistry take its course with no rush.
A woman who really loves to laugh and sees that everything in our lives has a purpose and a lesson, that the divine also lives within each and everyone of us, and that we're all interconnected.
