More About Me
I've been swing dancing for about 8 years. I enjoy east coast swing, lindy hop, blues and ballroom.
I'm at an intermediate stage where I'd really like to find a dedicated practice partner to help take my dancing to the next level. If I have a partner with good dance chemistry, I can literally "zone out" and enter a "creative space" that adds so much energy to the dance. I've literally stopped my follows before to ask them, "What did I just do and how did I do that, because that was pretty awesome"! I'd like to find someone willing to be experimental in this way; to take that "in the moment" energy and break it down and play with it to see what we can come up with together.
I'd really like to become more involved with demonstrations and other events, air steps and aeriels. Maybe even competitions, someday. I'm looking for a partner that is dedicated and willing to practice often. I'm known for dancing on stairs, leading two follows and if there is a camera (or a boyfriend) near, I sometimes have a tendency to show off!
In short, I have a passion for dancing and I'd like to take it to the next level. This "Fred Astaire" is truly looking for his "Ginger Rogers".
I'm Looking For
I'm looking for a dance partner (mainly swing and blues, but open to other forms) who would like to get together to practice and experiment. Due to personal preference and dance chemistry reasons, I prefer a partner that is smaller than me. I'll literally dance with anyone but I've found I'm at my best with tiny, little ladies. I'm open to dating but I'm also willing to keep it platonic. I just love to dance and would really love to find a partner who has as much passion for dancing as I do.
