More About Me
I started dancing about a year and a half ago. My daughter texted me one day and said she found an Arthur Murray studio and was going to take the intro class. I said, "no wait, I saw a Groupon deal" so I bought one for each of us. That's all it tool for both of us to get hooked. I've been doing the single mom thing for the last 18 years, so now it's time for me to have some fun. I spend most of my afternoons and evenings at the studio taking group classes, but I'm getting less from them as my dancing improves. Right now I'm about an intermediate bronze level, working toward silver in Int. standard and American Smooth. I enjoy dancing Latin/Rhythm, but not where I want to compete.I would love to compete as far as I can afford to, but this can get expensive! When I'm not dancing I like to sail, go hiking, work in my garden, and cook.I also like snow skiing, but the drought in California has made that challenging the last few years.I'm always open for new adventures, and I want to travel, but dancing is always going to be my first choice!
I'm Looking For
I'm looking first of all for someone to practice with! Private lessons are so expensive an it would be great to split costs, and to have someone on the same page to work on what we are learning. Age is not important, looks not so much as long as he is reasonably fit and has good hygiene. Prefer someone at least my height or taller. 5'11" is perfect, but really not that important. I'm willing to travel as far north as Orange County. I need a partner who loves Ballroom, either standard or smooth, at least intermediate bronze, preferably higher, who is patient and will challenge me.
