More About Me
Most of my dance background is from way back in high school and college. I took ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop. I was a member of both my high school and college dance companies and performed on stage in full length dance shows and musicals. Then of course, as a young adult, there was the "club scene". When I was married and raising children, my love for dance had to take a back seat. I have always wanted to take lessons in various styles of dance that involve having an actual partner.
After my divorce in 2016 - I started dancing again after a 20+ year break, due to a husband who did not want to dance. I started taking lessons in East Coast swing, two-step, and lindy. I have been off and on with dance for the last few years but would really like to get back into it seriously again.
Although I consider myself somewhat of a beginner in partner dances, I pick up quickly and am a decent follow. I would love to take lessons at least 1x a week, and then stay for the social dances they always have afterwards. It would also be nice to dance one night during the weekend.
I'm Looking For
I would love to have someone who would go to lessons with me and stay for the socials afterwards. I have been going to these on my own this year, but would really like to have someone I can count on to dance with me, and someone to "grow with" as we learn to dance together.
Since I started dancing again, I have discovered it is a PASSION! When I leave after a lesson or a social, I cannot stop smiling, and I am dying to find the next opportunity. I won't limit myself to swing or two step. I will learn anything!!
In general, I am just looking for someone who would like a partner to go dancing socially, has a positive attitude and a natural ability for dance. I really want someone who has been dancing for at least a year, and is a good lead.
I don't care how old you are. I am not really looking to date right now because I run my own business and am a caregiver for my mother. I don't have time to invest in a relationship. SOME DAY... just not now! :)
