Took lessons in Jive/Swing in 2015. Attend social dances regularly. Take group lessons as refresher at dance societies.
I'm Looking For
f you know WCS or want to learn here is an opportunity to learn and practice on a one on one basis. I have been a WCS enthusiast for 7 years. Even during the Covid period I danced. A fellow enthusiast was willing to risk it with me. I would say I am an intermediate to advanced dancer on the social dance floor.
If you are a dancer yourself you would know that dancing requires regular practice to maintain skills. So I would like to team up with someone who similarly wants to maintain skills. Or with someone whom I can teach to attain my level and would similarly want to maintain skill levels. There is no fee involved, you just have to be a practice partner. The last person developed from no skills to accomplished dancer in a very short time. So if you are keen but have no skills I can quickly get you to a higher skill level. Very quickly, you should be able to attend the local dance societies' meets to develop further. We could also learn the Waltz and other styles.
I have dancing space that is perfectly proportioned for two people. I am in Townsite area of Nanaimo. I am between 65 and 75. I am healthy, fit and dexterous. I go to WCS dances once a week. I am looking for a woman at least 40 but preferably older. Because of my height I prefer someone who is at least 5' 5. We can schedule for once a week in the afternoons.
