More About Me
Dancing is a great way for me to get out of my head and have fun with the amazing combination of movement, music, and emotion. Having recently separated from a non-dancer, I'm eager to get back to it. East Coast Swing, Salsa, and Tango are my favorites. I also enjoy Carolina Shag, Foxtrot, and Cha Cha. I'd like to learn the Samba and the Hustle eventually. I'd be open to attending periodic lessons, but my preference is social dancing events in the Triangle Area of North Carolina in the U.S. (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill). I'm in this for the fun of it, but that doesn't mean I won't take on new challenges and try my best.
I'm Looking For
The ideal partner would have skills equal to or better than mine. I'm 5'11" with an average build, so a lady on the taller side might get her toes stepped on a little less often. In all honesty, I do prefer partners on the slender or athletic side, but common interests are the most important. With someone new I compulsively apologize when I make a "wrong" move, because I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but as I get more comfortable with my partner, the fun takes over and I realize there is no wrong move except for stepping on toes.
