More About Me
I started out learning East Coast Swing. Quickly progressed to Lindy Hop. Have had several practice partners along the way and found that to be the most effective way to improve. I’m currently exploring the Ballroom dances, Zydeco, Balboa, West Coast Swing, and Salsa.
My favorites are Lindy Hop, balboa and Zydeco — in large part because I love the music. It makes me want to dance. I also love those communities of people here in the Bay Area dance scene.
People tell me I’m very light on my feet and a naturally good follow, who is fun to dance with. Frame and connection are priorities. And my timing is very good. Spinning and dips are super fun for me. I’m athletic and light so jumps and lifts are also fun with the right partner. But mostly it’s the chemistry and flow, along with the fundamentals of connection and movement, that make the magic happen in a good partnership.
I'm Looking For
I’m looking for an intermediate to advanced level lead who loves to practice and social dance. The various swing dances are my primary jam, but I’m also really enjoying learning the American Smooth style of ballroom dances. Country 2-step and zydeco are super fun also. Versatility is a plus for sure.
