More About Me
Started Swing (Modern Lindy Hop) in 2000. Inspired by Frankie Manning. Started Mambo (Triple Mambo) a few years later. Also dance Blues and Waltz.
I taught classes in Modern Lindy Hop for several years.
I dance in the styles as these dances came out of Harlem in the 40s. Preserving the history and spreading the knowledge and joy of 1940s' Rhythm Dance is a passion.
I am a strong yet conscientious lead. Strong on technique.
In my teaching years I was a noted Lindy technique instructor in the Swing Dance Community.
I taught 250+ classes and courses. Organized more dances. Served on the staff of 4 American Lindy Hop Championships. Formerly the founder/director of the Swing Dance Community Chapter serving Fairfield, Westchester and later, Putnam.
I've recently discovered how much there is to Bachata. I'm now on a mission to master the dance and become a capable Bachata lead.
I'm Looking For
No prior experience required. Only passion and sincerity. While I'm open to dating, just dancing is fine. Before Covid I had several regular dance partners. I have no expectations of my dance partner(s) off the dancefloor.
