More About Me
I love all kinds of dancing and music and am a natural follower. I've taken many ballroom classes but, without a partner it's really tough to improve. Sometimes I lead in tango (with women) because most of the men seem to gravitate to the younger fillies and I don't go to dances to watch that. I'm getting better every week, especially milonga! Now I even DJ a monthly milonga I hold. Milonga & Argentine Tango are my favorite dances but I love Merengue almost as much. I guess rumba next. I do like West Coast swing, but same thing... no partner - you can't get good. In September I will be visiting Anne and Pablo in San Francisco and in November I will be going to the Cancun TangoMayaFest. I love stuff like that.
I'm Looking For
I'd like someone who can dress up and not feel they are in a monkey suit. I know you can wear white ankle socks and shorts while doing tango, but if I came in baggy pants and earth shoes you would look right past me, admit it. I'd like someone who can at least carry on a small conversation and has some semblance of social skill. Dancing only gets better once you continue dancing together. My skill level is intermediate so I'd like someone at that level or better who will dance with me for social fun and fitness.
