More About Me
I am an advent ballroom dance. I have been dancing for over 6 years and competing for 5 years. I compete in both pro/am and amateur competitions with my most recent emphasis being in amateur competitions. I have over 5 years experience in competing at most of the amateur competitions within the Northeast region of the county. I have also competed at the USA Dance (formerly USABDA) National Amateur Dance Sport Competitions during the past 4 years. I compete in both Rhythm and Standard at the Novice, Pre-Champ and Championship level. My previous partner and I did Open Rhythm and Open Standard routines. We had recently placed first in SRII Rhythm Pre-Champ and second in the SRI Rhythm Pre-Champ events at the 2006 USA Dance National competitions in San Jose, CA. I spend approximately 2 hours at the studio 6 days a week, either practicing and/or taking lessons. I take my lessons in Latham, New York.
I'm Looking For
I am looking for an amateur partner(s) that is/are serious about dancing, looking to have fun and not seeking a personal relationship. My partner(s) should be relaxed, comfortable with them self, have a good sense of humor and be capable of truly partnering with another in their dance. A good partner for me should have their emphasis on technique rather then learning new steps and/or patterns. I am open to changing styles and possibly dancing different styles with different partners. Under the right circumstances I am willing to workout in practice sessions and/or fill in as a temporary partner at amateur competitions while I pursue my search for an amateur partner(s). My preference is to stick with American Rhythm and Int'l Standard, although I would also be interested in American Smooth. My partner must be willing to take lessons from qualified competent coaches that are actively coaching competitive couples. My partner should be able to financially contribute to our shared coaching lessons, take private lessons of their own and be able to travel independently.
