More About Me
Hi,
I recently moved from Wausau to the Manitowoc area 7 weeks ago for a new job. I am not settle into my apartment yet, but I am ready to take up ballroom dancing again after a 1 ½ year break from it.
I have been taking weekly privates and 3 to 4 hours of group lessons per week for seven years. My last three dance partners were strictly into competitive, exhibition, or formation team dancing, but not social dancing. I had learned a lot of neat stuff, but no one to dance all this cool material socially. 90 percent of my privates and 75 percent of my groups lessons were in American Style Smooth dances of Tango, Fox Trot and Waltz. I now want to concentrate more into the rhythm dances especially the swings. I took a few group lessons in West Coast Swings, and I love it. I want to learn more.
Now that summer is around the corner, I may not be around much on weekends to do social dancing. But I will make an effort if it looks like it will be a fun dance.
I'm Looking For
I am looking for a intermediate level ballroom dance partner who is willing to travel to various ballroom dances in the 150 mile radius of Manitowoc. I have not found a dance instructor around the area to start taking privates or group lessons with. If you have good one, I would consider yours.
Right now I am looking more for a social dance partner and not a dating partner, but I would keep that open if the chemistry is right. If you are married, or have a boyfriend, please do not consider me. Your husband/boyfriend may thinks it is OK, but if we start showing up 1,2 or 3am in the morning from dancing, he may change his mind. I have been down that slippery slope before, and I do not want do that again.
I would consider doing some of these small dance studio competitions that are popular around the area. Not quite sure on exhibition dancing. After doing four team formation dancing, I hate them.
