More About Me
Dancing is my hobby and passion. What I have learned in the last 8 years is all of the dances are the same..it's just the vocabulary that is different. I enjoy competing, however competing pro-am exclusively is a bank-breaker. These days I enjoy every lesson that I take. It is always a serious undertaking as well as fun-like laughing 'til the tears roll fun. I try to always be close to a comp level place of preparation. I study privately a minimum of 3.5 hours a week. What I have just described is ballroom. I have had very recent migration towards West Coast Swing- that is what I dance most socially. I used to go salsa dancing, but WCS has captivated me. It's like crack!! So many variations on a theme and I get to take all of the liberties I want :-)
I'm Looking For
I am looking for a gentleman with 5 plus years of partnership dance experience and only an Open Level. I have worked very hard to dance Open proficiently and I would expect the same of a partner. It would be nice to know some Latin as well as Standard. These are both good foundations. Musicality is very important to me. One must be free to interpret what they hear or feel- not just steps to a particular dance. What I am really looking for is a playful partner. Are you out there????
