Greetings!!
I absolutely love to dance with a passion!! Almost like being a kid again...as an adult..:-)
It is the best medicine for the soul, elexir of youth and a great stress relief!!
Currently I live in Edmonton, Alberta. Whenever I can, I go out dancing 4 times a week and from time to time, also a trip to the west coast (both Vancouver and Seattle-area) to do some swing. I do travel from time to time in the US as well and this is also a great way to meet like-minded people, called dancers, lol. Also, am looking to attend the Worlds 2007 in Nashville. That should be a ton of fun I am sure!!!
I do two-step,six-step or double shuffle),jive, east coast and west coast swing(my favored),hustle, night club 2step, cha-cha, waltz, salsa, mambo, marengue, samba(a little). I also want to do some more ball room in due time. Also, Argentine Tango is in my dancing plans in the future.
I do work out of town from time to time but whenever I have an opportunity I will be out there on the dance floor.
My goal is to be able to compete on an advanced level and have a ton of fun at the same time. I practice at home every once in a while as well (solo) yet..:-). I am looking for a dance-partner; either locally or in the west coast area (possibly looking at moving there at end of 2008.
Also I would love to be able to teach dancing as well, down the road - to give back to what dancing has given to me - in the form of a renewed enrichment of the quality of my life. I was 33 of age when I first really got started and have never ever regretted it..:-)
Most importantly, to be totally immensed in this wonderful hobby - called dancing!!

I'm Looking For
I am searching for someone to dance with on a regular basis - 5'5" to 6' range is preferred. It does not have to be of all the ones that I like. However, if she likes west coast and east coast swing it is a HUGE bonus. Also, two step, double shuffle, cha-cha, hustle, night club 2step, salsa, mambo, and some ball room (optional).
She like to be able to go dancing - both on a social basis and eventually compete also. If she is at a higher level than me, that's okay, too. I love to learn new moves and still great emphasis on mastering the basics ("feather-light lead") or the "2 - 3 pound rule".
She is already competing or would like to compete and at the same time form a mutual friend ship (that will come with time) if there is a good connection.
Of course, she will have a great sense of humor and like to laugh - even if we do make mistakes (I prefer to call it "variations", it sound a bit more positive, lol) (just a fun-filled part of the "learning curve").
If there is a REAL connection distance will not be too much of an issue.
