More About Me
Hi,
I want to bring something beautiful and unique into the world through my creative movement. I want to discover what my mind and body can do on the world pro level with a partner in theatre arts/ballroom cabaret. I also want to share this art through performing and teaching it to others who enjoy the beauty of theatrical dance like I do.
I've been a competitive athlete my entire life. My focus is on bringing out my best and being an inspiration. For the past 17 years I've put that same intense, methodic, and focused energy into becoming the best dancer I can be.
I began dance with salsa, and have studied classical dance and many other dance forms. After several years of performing and competing in salsa cabaret locally and around the US, I discovered theatre arts. Once I discovered theatre arts, that became my primary focus.
My intention is to make myself a phenomenal dancer. In doing that, I am confident that a phenomenal dance partner will come along.
I have a world class ballroom coach who is local to me that I learn from twice a week. His specialty is rhythm. Plus I take jazz privates and group classes in modern and ballet. I stay very fit and flexible. There is the potential for a job as a pro instructor at the studio where I train for my partner, as well as access to free ballet and modern classes by a professional company.
I'm also in the process of learning hand to hand balancing in case I meet a partner with that skill set or who is open to learning it. As you can see in my competition photo, I am already skilled in foot to hand balancing.
I am on good terms with all of my past partners.
I am very dependable, disciplined, and a good communicator; I’m also committed to creating a peaceful and enjoyable dance partnership. I am very knowledgeable about competition and performance psychology, physical training for sports, and am an expert in overcoming and preventing injuries. I gladly share this knowledge and these skills with my dance partner.
I'm Looking For
Whatever partner I work with must first and foremost must have an equally strong commitment to having a peaceful and joyful dance partnership as I do. She must also love to fly. I'm looking for a partner who brings either one or both high level dance skills or high level flying skills to a partnership who is fit, petite, focused, dependable, and wants to perform and compete on a world level.
