Started dancing salsa and bachata a couple of years ago in 2016 and attended classes pretty consistently. From late 2016 to around mid-2017, I trained for a salsa performance and did some performances in Philly from April to June 2017. For the last year or so I've been a bit more sporadic with lessons and social dancing.

I have a decent memory, so for salsa I remember majority of the beginner and intermediate move patterns I've learned and understand how different moves interconnect. However, especially with the more complex move patterns, I struggle a bit with timing on the dance floor.

So I'd love to meet up with someone to practice these moves enough times to get them into my muscle memory.

I have been dancing Argentine Tango for about 6 years. I came from a ballroom background, tried Argentine Tango on a whim and found it difficult, challenging, and frustrating. However, I kept being drawn back to tango until I finally gave into it. When I first started tango I remember someone telling me that it takes a lifetime to learn. I thought that sounded silly. I discovered dancing around six years ago following my divorce and my enthusiasm for it has never waned. I have been told that I am a natural in that I learn quickly and can dance to a high standard although I haven't as yet taken any medals. This is mainly due to not having a partner of a similar ability. This is one aspect that I would really like to pursue. I haven't yet discovered a dance yet that I didn't like! I am particularly interested in Ballroom, Latin, Ceroc and Salsa. In particular I would love to develop the Jive which I absolutely love! When the clave and beats met her precisely at every turn, every spin,every twirl, and every movement no audition was necessary. The melody of the music and her movements became so intertwined that a new form of beauty came to light as she danced. Salserabonafida was as beautiful as she was graceful; and so graceful she was indeed. La SalseraBonafida connected with her partner and immediately sensed the message he was trying to deliver. She gregariously followed his every lead; but it was not a lead in the traditional sense, but rather a rumble, a love affair, a rendevouz,a party, a seperation, and a coming together. I live in Latrobe Valley in Gippsland Victoria, but used to travel up to 150 kms each way if I knew I could get dances.

I have a poptop caravan, so am now able to travel further as it doesnt cost a fortune to stay in a caravan park.

I took ballroom lesson for my PE courses in college, but I really started to get serious about dancing in 2008. I prefer to get as much floor time as possible, so I rarely sit out a dance. I am passionate about learning more styles and routines. I currently take 6 to 8 hours of private lessons per week, and this can become more when I am working on competition or showcase dances. Generally, my goal is to dance social ballroom or c/w or swing or salsa every weekend as I bring all of my dances to a competitive level. I now compete in ballroom and C/W. I am at the stage where I am in need of a dance partner who can continue this progress and level of dance of fun with me, and who also has a passion for dancing. To me dancing is just about the ultimate sensual experience that two people can have while being in sync with music. This last year, I have narrowed the focus of my passions, namely: work; learning to dance with grace, finesse, technique, and passion; learning more martial arts forms; learning to play the piano; and enjoying travel. Dancing fits in very well with this focus of mine. I am looking for someone to practice with; who loves dancing, and is looking to have some serious fun, while we work together in perfecting our dance steps, technique, and trying out new moves. I mainly dance for fun but I am working on technique and styling in order to dance at higher competitive levels. My dancing really accelerated this year with excellent pro's for instructors and coaching. I'm competing in 2 step, cha, nc-2, wcs, ecs, triple 2, and waltz; and American Tango, and rumba. My favorite style of dance is Fusion, which is an improvised partner dance that allows you to combine different elements from other dance styles.

My favorite official dance styles are: international rumba, salsa, argentine tango...but I like to learn everything.

I'm passionate about dancing. I've taken some classes. I'd like to practice more. I've done some online and in person training.

My goal is too get certification and expert level in these style of dance.
