Danced from 6yr old, gave up at 18yrs, took medals at NATD up to silver level old time and ballroom, and took part in competitions. began dancing again Jan 2023, Recently taken IDTA bronze, silver and Gold in both Latin and Ballroom with honours , now heading towards Gold bar. I have been competing in the Pro Latin division since 2003, and previously as a championship amateur for 6 years, placing in some finals of IDSF comps. I am a very dedicated and focused as to what my goals are and how I am going to reach them.

I have been trained by Nadia Eftedal, Colin James and currently working with Heidi and Donnie Burns.

For me, dance is about connection – with the music, with the moment, and with the people around me. It's about letting go of inhibitions and embracing the freedom of movement. It's about feeling the rhythm pulse through your veins and allowing it to guide you.

From 1977-87, at studios in Michigan, I competed in ProAm American style events, Bronze and Silver (4 years as a student, 6 years as a pro with my students; see photo) and did many, many showcases. We had weekly training from the top trainers in Michigan and others who were brought in several times a year, on technique and syllabus through Gold. When I moved to the DC area in 1988, I studied international standard and got my amateur status back in 1995. I have kept up my dancing through the years by attending dances and workshops at area studios, and by attending international choreographed ballroom dance weekends (Phase IV-V). I look forward to meeting others with whom I can share my love of dance.

Hello, thanks for stopping by... I have been involved with dance on and off since childhood with ethnic dancing, ballroom in college, disco era and intermittent for the last 10 years. This information didn't fit into the initial profile form. I started taking individual lessons in the last few weeks and I'm having fun dancing again and meeting dancers in the area. Although I'm primarily interested in social dancing, I could be open to performing as I have in the past.

I have several advanced psychology degrees and feel humble and grateful for my career with helping others help themselves. I respect the diversity of people, am neither far left or right, served in the military and value volunteerism. Don't do alcohol/drugs and eat healthy but also like popcorn & nearly anything with sugar!

Six year old boy with one year ballroom dance training and two years other styles.

Single, slim enjoy dancing and hence love to have a regular partner to practise/social dancing etc. I am also, into rock & roll which I have been learning for the past 5 years and also keen to learn any other new dances.

I consider myself an Intermediate level dancer. I enjoy practicing to improve my leader and partner skills. I've been told I am a very good leader, (you be the judge, lol). I like foxtrot, waltz, cha-cha, hustle, rumba, bolaro, quickstep, tango, salsa, Viennese waltz, and West Coast swing, but open to all types of dance. I'd like to practice twice a week for about 2 hours. I am retired and my schedule has flexibility.

Been to 7 Nationals. Won several. Recently lost dance partner. Trained with top coaches and Judges. Anya Klimova Preston, Glen Weiss, Ray Rivers, Josie Lopez, David Semken, Maryann Carter, Michelle and Jim Gray, Peter Mant and many more! I learn new routines quicky. My dance partners say I feel very light and move and follow well. I realize I may have to fly occasionally or drive longer distances for practice and lessons.

Well after maybe 12 years I have drifted from country to Latin dancing. Finding a partner doesn't seem as important in Latin as the Latin community seems to be more social and I often get asked to dance. I'd still love to have a lady friend to call on to hit any one of the Latin clubs on some regular basis. I really like Bachata but taking lessons for Salsa as well.
