I’m friendly and sociable. Recently started dancing and now looking for a dance partner to develop the interest with.

Professional hard worker who has just found West Coast Swing. Country Western is also fun. Favorite music is blues, CW and southern rock like ZZ tops and Doobie Brothers.

A hopeless outdoorsy romantic who unwittingly fell in love with Contra dancing 18yrs ago (still my favorite dance).

I also love 14 other ballroom & swing dances--& have been a dance class junkie the last 12yrs (mostly West Coast Swing). I usually take 1-2 group dance lessons 4 nites/wk--followed by 1-3hrs of social dancing. Plus one private lesson with champion instructor the last few months.

Also take lots of classes at 3-5 WCS conventions per yr, plus 5-7 Contra festivals, & one Country wkend. Dance wkends are usually my favorite times of the year. Almost forgot: it's great fun dancing to live music at Blues clubs & other venues 1-3x/month.

Other interests: bicycling (tandem, mtn, road, touring), hiking, traveling, musical & dance performances, movies, plus public TV/radio. Am a politically liberal Unitarian who is very respectful of the views of others.

I have a basic grounding in ballroom and Latin and used to compete on the university dance circuit in the Novice category a few years back (predominantly in waltz, quickstep, cha cha, rumba, and jive). I have two years of experience and am looking to get back into dance. I'd love to find a partner to practice with a few times a week, mostly for fun rather than competitions (although I'm not averse to competing if the opportunity presents). I'd be happy to sign up to classes and then practice together outside of them.

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I'm searching for women who might be able to dance in Kingston or Pine Bush in Ulster county, at a number of places in Dutchess, Putnam, or northern Westchester e. g. Mount Kisco, or in Danbury. I picked those locations because I know of monthly mixed ballroom events there.

My preference leans toward East Coast Swing. I am Bronze level in Waltz. Have also taken lessons in; West Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Hustle, Salsa, etc. I am a non smoker and a non drinker and I have no association with drugs. I have been dancing ballroom and latin on and off for about 20 years but did not have a regular partner until 2019 and our progress was interrupted by covid restrictions. Unfortunately a foot injury now means my partner can no longer dance. I would say I am a proficient social dancer in ballroom and latin. I have been dancing modern jive for about twenty years and I am very good at it but go regularly to the same venue so do not need a partner for this but am very willing to int0rduce a potential partner.

I started caribbean dancing in autumn 2017 and since 2019 I started studying bachata sensual.

I began ballroom dancing about 15 years ago and consider myself a solid bronze-level dancer, although I’m comfortable following a more advanced lead. I haven’t focused heavily on advancing through additional levels simply because finding a compatible dance partner in my area who can confidently lead at my current level has been challenging.

While I would be very comfortable dancing with someone more advanced, I’m equally open to a partner who is less experienced than I am. Long story short, I've always enjoyed going out to clubs—and I still do. The difference is that I used to be the guy standing on the sidelines, watching everyone else dance and have an amazing time. I've danced Salsa for years, competed in Swing during college years, was on a Bachata dance troupe several years back, and have recently discovered Blues Fusion. I'd say my favorite dance style at the present time is Bachata but am always open to learning new sensual dance forms. I'm in it for the connection and joy, not for performing at this time.
