I have been a competitive ballroom dancer, teacher and performer for over 20 years. My mother was also a professional ballroom dancer. She danced with her brother Art in a lot of the big cities in the United States, But mostly in New York. When I was a senior in High School, I was voted best dancer for the yearbook. I've been dancing around 20 years (West Coast Swing, Blue's, Jive etc.) but only ballroom dancing for around 12 months, but I love it and would like a partner to continue learning and dancing.

Started dancing Ceroc, ballroom and Latin Nov 23 love it. I don't compete or do medals I just dance socially gor fun, and love lessons. I do a basic modern jive/Ceroc, Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha Cha Cha lots of room for improvement and new steps. Still working on Tango and Samba. Want to continue learning and improving and learn different styles such as Salsa, West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango etc anything really. Used to multiple partners in modern jive but only had one partner in ballroom.

I had a phobia about dancing for the first 50 years of my life. I really love music and watching people dance, but I couldn't ever dance in front of anyone. My daughter needed me to learn Salsa with her, where I met and befriended a blind man, who has inspired me to get over my shyness and discomfort of learning, because it is always harder for him.

At this point in my life, I am hungry to learn new moves, try new dances, be a better follower, and improve my level of dancing skills.

I really enjoy Cha Cha, Modern Jive, Rock n Roll and have just started to learn Lindy Hop, Ballroom and some sequence / new vogue dances this year.

I socially danced ballroom at a beginning state years ago but gave it up over 25 years ago. I have always loved to dance and after my husband passed in 2022 I decided to bring dance back into my life.I currently take private lessons with a Competition skilled instructor 3 days a week and attend 3 hours of classes. When available, I also take 3 hour workshops on weekend. Rumba is my favorite style of dance but, I also love American waltz, Foxtrot, Nightclub 2 step, I am just learning West Coast swing, Cha-Cha and American Tango. I want to dance well showing the heart of each dance.
