I'm currently learning International Style Standard and Latin dances and been completing in both of those as a silver level pro/am couple. I have also completed in American Style Smooth and Rhythm dances at the Gold level as pro/am. In my spare time, I do a lot of social dancing in Country & Western, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Salsa, Lindy, Argentina Tango, Modern and a few others.

I am taking private and group lessons at difference place around the DC area. I have been told that I have an excellence lead and form, dance floor present and craft, and rapid learner. I'm constantly learning and trying new material in order to give my dancing more dazzle to include tinkling with lifts and drops.

Like most dancers, I was knocked out of the dance world for two years. I recently got back into it and was delightfully pleased that I didn't lose any ground. Maybe a wee rusty in a few styles, but I'm working out the kinks. My three favorite dance styles are still WCS, NC2, and Argentine Tango, which I can integregate into a fusion and delectably paint the floor. During the pandemic, I substituted dance with yoga. My balancing skills have improved and I'm ready to get it going with a special partner.

Hi, my name is Richard. I would like to find a dance partner that is 60's plus like myself. One that I could also date and maybe turn into a meaningful relationship. I am 6' tall, 170 lbs. at 10.1 % bodyfat. I love to dance. I have been social dancing for 30 years. My favorite music to dance to is Rockabilly, 50's Rock'n'Roll, and Traditional Country. One of my hobbies was skydiving (1800 jumps ). I have some real stories to tell about that. Also, I was into racing formula cars for 20 years. My passion is weightlifting. Learning club salsa for fun.

I competed for many years in International Standard. My former partner recently decided to retire from practicing or competing in Standard and I'm looking for a new partner for practice and, perhaps, competition.

My preference leans toward East Coast Swing. I am Bronze level in Waltz. Have also taken lessons in; West Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Hustle, Salsa, etc. I am a non smoker and a non drinker and I have no association with drugs. I am a retired Manager from a large corporation and I am financially sound and emotionally stable. I enjoy dancing very much and take lessons 2-3 times a week and go to dances on week-ends. I would welcome the opporunity to have a steady dance partner where there is connection and chemistry along with mutual respect. I would be willing to relocate for the right person. Open standard dancer

I learned to two step and half time in the late 90’s and danced on and off until 2015. I touched on the waltz as well, but that definitely needs work. I would be open to trying new styles if you are willing to teach me or learn new styles with me. I would like to get away from time to time just to dance.

I'm a professional musician and a natural mover / dancer. As for dance training, I began lessons as a child (tap, modern), during college joined a ballroom dance team (competed in Swing) and later as a young adult traveled to West Africa, Brazil, Europe and India to study their various cultural music and dance forms. For the past ten years I've been dancing salsa and bachata, blues fusion, micro fusion and other styles. Dancing is what makes me feel most alive! I would love to learn Tango next.

I was a professional ballet dancer for several years, and when I "retired" due to an injury, I began ballroom dancing around 2012. For the past several years I have been competing pro-am smooth at open level, a few competitions per year. (I also did Latin and standard many years ago and would be interested in picking them back up, especially standard.) I performed my first Waltz last year (2025) and this year I’m going to perform a Foxtrot with one of my teachers. I intend to perform Tango, Quickstep, and Viennese Waltz in the future. Maybe a Cha Cha, too. We’ll see. I come from a background as a musician.

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I'm searching for women who might be able to dance in Kingston or Pine Bush in Ulster county, at a number of places in Dutchess, Putnam, or northern Westchester e. g. Mount Kisco, or in Danbury. I picked those locations because I know of monthly mixed ballroom events there.

Growing up in a lower-middle class family of seven, my parents were never able to enroll me in very many extracurricular activities, due to financial constraints. Now, as an adult, I have decided that I would like to live my dream of learning to ballroom dance. So, in August 2010, I enrolled in weekly ballroom dancing classes at a local dance studio in Batesville, AR. In December 2010, my teacher introduced me to the world of social ballroom dancing in a club in Little Rock, AR, where I now go on Friday nights when my daughter's extracurricular high school band schedule permits. Personally, I feel that I pick up dances quite easily. Also, my teacher says I am a very good follower. My favorite dances are the Waltz and Foxtrot, and I would very much like to learn the Viennese Waltz, the Argentine Tango, and the Quick Step. If someone out there will just have a little faith in me, I am very willing to learn. I just need to find the right partner---one who complements me and I, him!

I was a ballroom instructor for 15 years. No longer an instructor, I now enjoy social dancing for fun and excitement. I most enjoy the smooth or standard dances for their flow of movement.

I began ballroom dancing in 2003 and have been passionate about it ever since. I've been coached by many top professionals over these years, both locally and around the country. Most of my experience is in Standard, followed by Smooth; continuing training and competing in one or both of these styles is my current primary goal. I am open to training in Latin as well but I am not interested in Rhythm at the moment. In addition to ballroom, I’ve also studied ballet, modern, contact improvisation, and kinesiology. I have an interest in performance and choreography; I've performed in numerous shows with nine different studios, in two professionally directed productions, and at the Chicago Salsa Congress. I was the open amateur standard champion at many local competitions including the Windy City Open in 2014. I am a 20-year-old university student from Japan moving to Brussels in August. I have been dedicated to ballroom dancing for 2.5

years, and it has become my greatest passion.

Interestingly, I also belong to in competitive ballroom Dance (Contemporary) club at my university. This background gives me a deep understanding of body mechanics, balance, and core strength, which I actively apply to my ballroom technique. My training in Japan has been quite rigorous, focusing on the fundamentals of International Standard.

Processing a recent loss, taking life one step at a time, not quite back to dating yet, although will soon.

Enjoy multiple dance styles, walking and weight training as part of being physically fit.
