After ten years with modern jive I progressed to ballroom and latin. I've now got ten years of ballroom and latin under my belt with the last three years including Sunday League competitions.

I am a totally fun loving, loyal and generally a happy person. I had the honour to be part of Sham Rock, a band which made the top 20 in the UK charts for 5 weeks in 1998 with Tell Me Ma. That was a long time ago. I've done Line/street dancing for ten years and didn't do too badly in the Worlds Championships which was held in the US this Millennium.

Last year (2008), I had a crash course in Ballroom (i.e. a 8 week course) and loved it. I still do line dancing which is not that sad -certainly no Yeehahs or fingers in belts. I guess there are some older style venues but my dance club ranges from waltz one minute to funky the next with music usually played on 2-Ten FM or Kiss FM before 8pm. At the end of the last quarter of 2007, I tried Salsa with work colleagues. This was great fun but one by one the enthusiasm for them disappeared and I was last man standing.

I started learning Int. Latin in November 2022 and competing in February 2023, but have been dancing socially for about three years. I’ve participated in four Latin competitions so far. I would like to continue competing at least in Latin, with hopes to start Standard/Smooth and Country/Western soon.

Looking for a lady that loves to dance. Willing to travel wherever to meet the right woman. I am even willing to relocate for the right lifelong partnership. Have done no competitions as of yet. If the right partner shows up then I would certainly entertain, maybe even welcome, the idea.

Love to dance and won't quit till you do. Am familiar with all typical ballroom dances - Smooth and Latin. I do know Salsa and Hustle as well. West Coast Swing is one of my favorites. Foxtrot and Bolero would be my other two favorites. Just now starting to learn Argentine Tango. I can see the possibilities are endless, but can't really judge the dance till it becomes 'effortless' - and I'm not there yet.

I have not yet concentrated on any one dance or style in particular, so I am not yet excellent at any of them. I do, however, know enough to get out on the dance floor and hold my own as an advanced level amateur dancer. I have been trying to become a well rounded dancer with a good lead for now - while waiting on the partner. I am learning and having lots of fun while doing so, but my dancing could be so much more with a good dedicated dancer.

More than willing to concentrate on any one particular dance/style if partner has a preference, but I do hope to find a partner that likes to dance everything.

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I'm searching for women who might be able to dance in Kingston or Pine Bush in Ulster county, at a number of places in Dutchess, Putnam, or northern Westchester e. g. Mount Kisco, or in Danbury. I picked those locations because I know of monthly mixed ballroom events there.

I started ballroom lessons earlier this year and plan to continue practicing and improving at social dancing. I would love to have a regular partner/s for practice and social dancing. I come from a Puerto Rican background, so Salsa music (as well as Bachata and Merengue, but to a lesser extent) has always been a part of my life. I started dancing seriously in December 2024. A dancer across multiple styles that walks and weight trains as part of being physically fit. I have over 30 years experience of ballroom and Latin dancing. Back in the late 1990s I did compete in a few competitions and we did quite well. Our dance teacher then died and we stopped. My last dance partner has now entered a serious relationship with someone and is not free to go dancing.

I was a professional ballet dancer for several years, and when I "retired" due to an injury, I began ballroom dancing around 2012. For the past several years I have been competing pro-am smooth at open level, a few competitions per year. (I also did Latin and standard many years ago and would be interested in picking them back up, especially standard.) I used to dance frequently but my dancing has lapsed a little since my wife / partner died a few years ago.
