It is difficult to find the right partner from reading only a bio. I am willing to travel to or part way to test out dancing together. Trying out dancing together along with conversation is, I believe, the only way to find the right dance partner. I trained for 14 years in ballet. Shortly after entering the pro division, covid arrived and we were sent home, as most were, to await further instruction. It was during this time that I discovered ballroom and absolutely fell in love with it. I have been teaching and competing in ballroom for 4.5 years, but have not yet found the right partner; someone who is as dedicated to growing into a partnership thru working together and accomplishing common goals.

I am an active, fun, adventurous woman who has always had dancing in her blood. Earlier in my teenage, college, and graduate school years I was very involved studying, teaching and choreographing dance primarily ballet, modern, and jazz styles of dance. Now I am fortunate that I have discovered ballroom and Argentine Tango. Although I do and love many of the ballroom dances my passion is Argentine Tango. I have been involved in Argentine Tango for a number of years learning equally well both the lead (traditionally the man's role) and the follow (woman's role). I like dancing both roles. Knowing both has also been an asset in teaching Argentine Tango and in honing my ability to follow well any leader in any kind of ballroom dance.

Movement is my language, and rhythm is my voice. With over a decade of dancing experience, I've honed my skills in various dances and developed a passion for connection and expression on the dance floor.

I'm in a love affair with South America, Argentina in particular, my dance interest will hopefully serve me in going back a 4th time, now under the guise of a dance trip.

I have been taking dance lessons in ballroom, salsa, cha cha. Rumba, Swing (WSC. ECS), hustle for about three years.

I took ballroom lesson for my PE courses in college, but I really started to get serious about dancing in 2008. I prefer to get as much floor time as possible, so I rarely sit out a dance. I am passionate about learning more styles and routines. I currently take 6 to 8 hours of private lessons per week, and this can become more when I am working on competition or showcase dances. Generally, my goal is to dance social ballroom or c/w or swing or salsa every weekend as I bring all of my dances to a competitive level. I now compete in ballroom and C/W. I am at the stage where I am in need of a dance partner who can continue this progress and level of dance of fun with me, and who also has a passion for dancing. I lived in Los Angeles where I would occasionally go swing dancing if I had somebody to go with. I took some ballroom dancing classes a few years ago there. Since being in the Netherlands I haven't had a chance to go dancing and I really miss it. My boyfriend can't dance and right now has a problem with his knees so it doesn't look like I'll get him into a class anytime soon. I would love to dance once in a while.

I dance ballroom competitively for more than 7 years. I'm interested in dancing Novice/Pre-Champ Latin and Pre-Champ/Champ Standard at competitions, eventually working my way up to Championship level in both styles. At the moment, I don't have a partner neither for Standard nor for Latin. I train on my own and through private dance lessons.

When I'm asked why did I pick ballroom as a hobby I say I enjoy the movement and the beauty, verbal and non-verbal interaction and team work with my partner, the coordination between the two minds and bodies, the mutual interpretation of music, and on top of it all - getting better and better at it every day. My stronger points as a dancer are endurance and strength. I like to compete because I find it really motivating. It gives a sense of scope to the project, and - I must confess - I love putting on those costumes and looking fabulous!

My favorite dance is salsa which is what I have the most experience in. I took classes for a couple of years and I take various workshops when I can. I also like other Latin dances such as cha cha and bachata in that order. I know those dances a little but not as much as I know salsa. I'm also open to learning other dances. Besides dancing, I work out 3-4 days a week work 40 hrs and try to enjoy as much free time as possible. For hobbies, I'm into home automation and electronics. I like to travel when I can and I do enjoy watching tv and movies at home and at the theater. I'm also open to trying/doing new things.
