I am a social Argentine Tango and Ballroom Dancer in search of a dance and life partner. I live in a great place, on the beach on the closest in Island of the Washington State San Juan's, but not too many ladies who want to dance come knocking at my door. I miss having a dance partner, having someone to practice with, go to dances, and go places and do other things with. My passion is Argentine Tango, am better than average Tanguero, take more advanced lessons and have been to thirty Tango Festivals. I also DJ Tango Milongas, with original 78rpm records, and sometimes Ballroom Dances, still keep the other dances fresh too. Mostly dance in Bellingham, Washington, we have a great dance community there, but have been know to stray to Seattle, Portland, Oregon and Vancouver BC, Canada. A few years ago, I spent three weeks in Buenos Aires in November, had a wonderful time, love to go back I truly enjoy the deserted beach in front of my house, having beach fires, shooting off fireworks, picking up beach glass and agates. Recently acquired a 1936 Taylor/Piper Cub (little yellow airplane) project, , going to restore it and go flying again. I'm currently learning International Style Standard and Latin dances and been completing in both of those as a silver level pro/am couple. I have also completed in American Style Smooth and Rhythm dances at the Gold level as pro/am. In my spare time, I do a lot of social dancing in Country & Western, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Salsa, Lindy, Argentina Tango, Modern and a few others.

I am taking private and group lessons at difference place around the DC area. I have been told that I have an excellence lead and form, dance floor present and craft, and rapid learner. I'm constantly learning and trying new material in order to give my dancing more dazzle to include tinkling with lifts and drops.

I have tried to upload a recent photo but they keep telling me it won't fit. I have been dancing for over 50 years. I love the Western Waltz, 2-Step, 10-Step, Cotton-eye Joe, Western swing, Polka, 60's, 70's style, Square (been awhile). I learn quick if someone wants to teach me a new move.

I enjoy cooking, live stage shows, flea markets, art shows, community activities.

It is difficult to find the right partner from reading only a bio. I am willing to travel to or part way to test out dancing together. Trying out dancing together along with conversation is, I believe, the only way to find the right dance partner. I trained for 14 years in ballet. Shortly after entering the pro division, covid arrived and we were sent home, as most were, to await further instruction. It was during this time that I discovered ballroom and absolutely fell in love with it. I have been teaching and competing in ballroom for 4.5 years, but have not yet found the right partner; someone who is as dedicated to growing into a partnership thru working together and accomplishing common goals.

I dance at intermediate level, am looking for someone who, like me, enjoys dancing and getting better at it which keeps it interesting, my partner should already know lead basics OR really want to learn how including putting in a little time to make good muscle memories. I enjoy salon, milonga, and close embrace and slower as well as faster tango, valse, milonga and even nuevo tango music.

We could meet at a milonga or a classic class with Paul Parmentier in Henderson. I spend about $15 a lesson but will treat myself to lessons with super pro leads every now and then just for the wonder of the experience.

My favorite studio is Atomic Ballroom in California but milongas in town here can be satisfying too.

Know most of the standard dances that are taught at ballrooms, but not a strict 'Pattern' dancer. I'm an inventor by trade and carry that mentality to other things as well… which includes dancing. Been called an 'Intuitive' dancer, but being in tune with my partner is more how I see it. My general belief is a good lead does not need to push a lady through things, but guides. A little exception is some gals that have some physical issues, and I need to fill in the gap where needed. This happens most when I take cruises as Gentleman Host. When they feel like they've just danced as well as they did at an earlier time, it’s tremendously rewarding for me.

This has been a year of many changes. Mostly good. My goal going forward is to have a good dance partner sometime in the New Year.
