I've been ballroom dancing for about 11 years now, first doing pro-am competition, and more recently competing at the amateur level (in International Latin). At the pro-am level, I've competed in the Latin, Rhythm, and American Smooth styles. I did fairly well competitively, especially with Latin and Rhythm, and have won a fair number of scholarships in some of the larger competitions. On the amateur side, I competed at the pre-champ and open levels in Latin. My partner and I won the pre-champ division in our age level, and then made the final in open Latin at the USA Dance national championships in 2010. Prior to ballroom, I spent about 18 years doing ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. I love everything there is about dance--I think it's part of my soul, and who I am. I want to keep growing and improving in this sport/art, but most of all, I want to have fun doing that!

I've been told I'm a talented dancer. I hope that's true (I'm always full of doubts, of course!), but I know I'm a hard worker, very devoted to dancing, and I'll work my butt off getting reading for a competition or performance. I've had coaching from some of the best in the business, and I'll be forever grateful for the insight, support, and advice these wonderful coaches have given me.

Professionally, I'm a scientist, and have my own business doing consulting work in the biotech world. I'm pretty athletic, I run a lot (and used to compete in running too), lift weights, and do yoga regularly. I'm also a pretty serious mountain climber. I've climbed both in the United States and in South America in the Andes, and I hope to climb Mt. McKinley in Alaska in the very near future (it's on my Bucket List!) I also have what I think is a pretty unique hobby--once I summit a mountain, I do a little dance on the top. I think it's quite possible that I hold the world record for a high altitude samba (20,700 feet on Chimborazo in Ecuador). If you know anyone who's done the samba at a higher elevation than that, I don't want to hear about it.

Oh yeah, I also love dogs and have a great Labrador retriever named Newton. He is truly the best dog on the planet.

Newly divorced, semi-retired, active on the modern jive freestyle circuit and competing in the ballroom Sunday League with some success.

I used to dance many years ago and decided to return to the floor over this last year. I danced in the Medalist of the Year competition (IDTA) this year and made the national finals at Blackpool where I was placed 2nd in ballroom and 6th in Latin. I would now like to find a partner to dance in the League with as well

I have been dancing ballroom and latin on and off for about 20 years but did not have a regular partner until 2019 and our progress was interrupted by covid restrictions. Unfortunately a foot injury now means my partner can no longer dance. I would say I am a proficient social dancer in ballroom and latin. I have been dancing modern jive for about twenty years and I am very good at it but go regularly to the same venue so do not need a partner for this but am very willing to int0rduce a potential partner.

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I'm searching for women who might be able to dance in Kingston or Pine Bush in Ulster county, at a number of places in Dutchess, Putnam, or northern Westchester e. g. Mount Kisco, or in Danbury. I picked those locations because I know of monthly mixed ballroom events there.

I've been dancing for 21 years and I love it. I always like the challenge of becoming better and so I'm always open to further professional tuition. Although my lifestyle doesn't lend itself to competing on a serious level, I have competed in national championships here in Ireland with high placing on the podium :-)

Whilst my home town is Sligo in the northwest of Ireland, I travel quite a bit.

I have no dance background, inspired to dance recently and want to push myself and practice as much as I can. I am a little hard on myself but easy to work with others. I have thought about competing but it’s not something that I’m focused on. Sadly my schedule is a little tight. I work Sunday- Friday. Only available Saturday all day and every other day 8am to 1pm.

I stared dancing at 18 when I took my first dance class as in college. I had no idea it would be so fun. I ended up dancing all through college and was even in Ballet company for a few years I previously had a handful of Ballroom. Swing, and salsa classes over the years and Always wanted to do more partner dancing so I'm open to pretty much any style. I recently picked up Country dancing and am most interested in country dancing.

I began dancing in the early 1980 by taking CW dance classes in Austin, Tx with my wife. Social dancing was one of our passions until she passed in 2025. We also took some ballroom dance classes and enjoyed combining the two styles. We especially enjoyed the Waltz.

So, who says that a woman can't find a man who really loves to dance? Here I am! If there is a woman out there who is seeking a dedicated social dance partner with determination to advance, then look no further! To excel at any one endeavor, I feel like you have to specialize and dance is what I've chosen for that purpose. While always striving to keep dancing fun, I do take it seriously and I have the ambition to work at being the best that I can be. I believe that a serious dancer progresses better and more rapidly by having a steady partner. In addition to my motivation and enthusiasm, it is my appreciation for and my loyalty and devotion to my partner and the way that I express it that sets me apart from others. While I am confident that I'm a good social dancer right now, I know that I still have a long ways to go. I've been dancing a long time, but I still want to learn and I am willing to practice. I'm particularly interested in doing more with hustle, west coast swing and salsa/mambo. I am open to learning new dances. I'm flexible in terms of whether I am either the more experienced dancer or at a lesser skill level than my partner (I am receptive to being coached/trained if my partner has the background and interest in doing so). When not dancing, I enjoy roller coasters, water parks, beaches, going to sporting events and playing pickleball. I started at age 8 being part of an art academy which involved singing, acting, dancing. I learned jazz partner dancing and tap then later on in middle school I took ballet, hip hop and belly dance classes and in highschool I decided to try ballroom and fell inlove with it.

I have been dancing Salsa and Bachata on and off for about 18 years at dance socials in Central NJ and Northern NJ, and have done couples and group choregraphed performances for these dances at dance studios in the past. I've also learned Argentine Tango, Cha Cha, Rumba, Mambo, and Merengue. I'd like to learn beginner levels of Ballroom dances next, so that I can attend Ballroom/Latin dance socials and dance to any song that comes on. I'd also like to advance my skills in Argentine Tango and the various Latin dances, and have a dance partner to attend private lessons and practice with.
