I had ballroom dance training many years ago and would like to pick up the practice again.

High level in hustle and other night club dances. Frequent competitor both in Los Angeles and elsewhere. Also showcases. Have brought my American rhythm and smooth back up to silver or gold level in order to compete in 9 dance. Currently taking about 6 hours of privates a week and practicing a similar amount. I'm serious. Life doesn't last forever, I started out in this way to late and am doing everything I can to catch up. My wife has no interest in dancing but fully supports my dance activities. Prior to covid I attended Toronto Salsa/Bachata Congress, Las Vegas Open, and numerous local events such as Emerald Ball but now lessons, practice, and tea dances.

One of my friends says I'm not funny, but I can really make myself laugh 😁 I try as much as I can in life to always be positive. My first foundation in dance is ballet, tap, and jazz. I studied for about 11 years in these dance disciplines as well as a few others. I performed often, and over the years also choreographed my own dance performance numbers. When I was in college I finally got to try partner dancing for the first time and loved it! It was easy for me to pick up. I would go frequently to the Saturday night dances and I picked up the Hustle just by following a good lead. Some time after that I took lessons in Argentine Tango at Tango By the River in Sacramento. During this time I was also very active going to the Friday night event in Sacramento known as Midtown Stomp. There I picked up Lindy Hop; again without any lessons, just following good leads. I eventually tried West Coast Swing and immediately I was hooked!

I've been dancing since I was 17. Although I do the Waltz and Continuity, I prefer the American Rhythm and East Coast Swing, although I am open to learning others. I used to dance salsa regularly before you-know-what stopped everything. Since the end of the lockdown, I've never really got back into it, as all the classes I used to enjoy never seem to have restarted. I danced tango for several years, so I know how much it helps having a regular partner for both motivation and making progress. Salsa is my first love, though. My interest is purely in social dancing (classes and events) rather than competitions or performing. If that matches your outlook, I'd love to hear from you.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I have been dancing ballroom and latin on and off for about 20 years but did not have a regular partner until 2019 and our progress was interrupted by covid restrictions. Unfortunately a foot injury now means my partner can no longer dance. I would say I am a proficient social dancer in ballroom and latin. I have been dancing modern jive for about twenty years and I am very good at it but go regularly to the same venue so do not need a partner for this but am very willing to int0rduce a potential partner.

I have a strong background in ballroom dancing — I trained and competed professionally for about 10 years, taking part in various championships and also teaching for a year at a dance school. My main focus was International Latin and Standard, but I also enjoyed Salsa and Social Ballroom.

Although I stepped away from dancing about 7 years ago, I deeply miss it. Dance has always been my passion, my way to recharge, and a source of happiness. I am slim, very committed, rhythmical, hard working, athletic and non-smoking. I weigh in at 160lbs, 5ft 7in (170cm). I am a passionate Latin American competition dancer. Latin coaches over the last few years have included the Douglasses, Truemans, and Jake Davies with occasional sessions with Ian Waite, Hannes Emrich and Andrew Cuerden/Hanna Haarala. In my last 18 months in England I trained with Mark Lunn (London) and Andrzej Mialkowski (Northampton). Since moving to Toronto, now train at Ol-Si dance sport with Oleg Yedlin, Valentin Kolesnikov, and Antoaneta Popova.

I started competing in LA in March 08 and competed successfully during most of 2008 and 2009 and were easily within the Top 12 in the Senior Latin English chart. During 2010 I took a break from competitions and eased my way back in during late October for a few comps before the British National. In January 2011 I won the Senior Pre-Am Latin (Champions of Tomorrow) at Blackpool, and in June 2011, Stars of The Future, confirming that I am the top Senior Pre Champ in the UK, and making the quarter finals of the British National and Top 60 in the British Open.

Besides all that, I am a keen social dancer and frequent the usual places from time to time. Happy to work with a professional or amateur, and happy to perform/demonstrate and possibly compete at Pre Champ/Champ level.

Spent about few years mainly learning Savoy style Lindy Hop many years ago. Also did a bit of rock’n’roll and west coast swing. Now keen to get back into it. Am also open to other Latin dance styles.

I am a married lady with a husband who has no interest in dancing whatsoever. I joined a beginners class in 1992 and found myself a dancing partner. Although we never took any exams, we reached Gold Bar 2 level of the IDTA examination board. Unfortunately, my dancing partner has since died and although I have danced with others since, I have never found anyone to fill his dancing shoes! In recent years I have not danced at all because of ill health. With all that behind me now, I'm looking for someone to share my love of the foxtrot with!

I started years ago in Bachata and Salsa, which I still like a lot, but moved on to Argentine Tango and ballroom about 10 years ago. I've performed the most in Argentine Tango and ballroom. I danced for 3 years on Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo's pro-am Argentine Tango performance team, and may go back to it again with a partner who's interested in doing that. I was a ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop dancer for almost 8 years. I started Latin ballroom dancing in October 2023. I have been Latin for 8 months. I want to practice every week all my Latin dancing routines. I have achieved up to silver level and I work extremely hard.

Unfortunately, shortly after this incredible achievement, I had to give up the greatest passion of my life — ballroom dancing 💔 😥 It was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make.

I was a ballroom instructor for 15 years. No longer an instructor, I now enjoy social dancing for fun and excitement. I most enjoy the smooth or standard dances for their flow of movement.

I have been a ballroom and salsa dance instructor for many years, also choreographed for film and stage. I hold a degree in engineering and was a top ranked national black belt champion in martial arts.

I am a very open minded person who has no hesitation to try new things which would explain the reason why I am here

Contemporary dancer by education. Some experience in zouk, bachata, and ballroom. In addition to the dance degree, I have a master degree in sports psychology and coaching, and I am a personal trainer. Since age 15, I’ve been teaching groups and individuals at all levels in a variety of sports and movement disciplines, yoga, and meditation. I’ve been an actor at the National Theatre. I am now part of a contact impro dance ensemble. My dream is to create sensual duets, rooted in deep listening. I would love to combine different dance styles, like contemporary and zouk. I want to explore and find our unique flow, create a nurturing partnership, and for us to have a life style where we thrive and dance is the essence of it all. Regarding language, I am fluent in Norwegian and English. I used to speak Portuguese when I lived in Brazil, so I can probably relearn that quite quickly, and I am open to learning Spanish and French as well (I know some of the basics).

Let's dance Salsa at 3 different places --- From 4th of Sept until 25th of October 2026, in Munich (I live in Augsburg, but I come to Munich everytime when there is a salsa party) --- In Augsburg, same time frame, because I live there, just call me, to know whether I am in Augsburg or Munich --- And if you want to make dance holidays, come for 2 weeks, and live for free, on La Gomera island (Tenerife, Spain) --- Free accommodation in exchange for help with a free dance class on the beach, teaching a new dance (salsita, a simplified version of salsa), and salsa dance training. Gratis for everybody, to give them a chance, too, to learn this fantastic dance ! --- For 1 or 2 weeks, in the time frame 27th of oct 2026 till 30th of may 2027. --- We, my dance partner (f) and I, Harald (m), need 1 complete dance couple or 1 female dancer for salsa. An intermediate level is enough; you don't have to be a dance teacher. You can bring 1 more person, regardless whether male or female; or whether they dance or not. It is enough if 1 female dancer dances for 2 hours a day. Afterwards you can hike in fantastic nature, swim, go to a salsa party, etc. Free for both ! Please remember: Just dancing; nothing else (!!!) --- My wife doesn't mind that; she is not a dancer type woman. She is so kind and lets me do all my dancing stuff. --- 35 people have already been there, and everyone loved it! You can call them and ask how it was. --- Our dance class takes place in the season every Thursday from 17.00 till 19.00 on La Gomera island, Valle Gran Rey, La Playa, Beach Promenade, 40 meters left hand side of Restaurante Yaya --- It is very well-known; we do it since 2023. I have danced just about anything and everything. When I hear music I have to move to it. For the past five years Argentine tango has been my principle focus.

Love to dance using a STYLE/FLAVOR that fits the particular dance/music; definitely not cookie-cutter, nor one size fits all.

Dance, like life, is all about STYLE (i.e., presentation). While Jitterbug is an appreciated dance of fun, the preferred is the mix of dances found in an Amore, Pittsburgh Ballroom or Orchard Hill Dance.

I have a lot of experience (years) with Lindy Hop and Salsa, but I’m still a beginner with Ballroom. Lately, I've been focusing on Waltz, Foxtrot, and Tango. I performed my first Waltz last year (2025) and this year I’m going to perform a Foxtrot with one of my teachers. I intend to perform Tango, Quickstep, and Viennese Waltz in the future. Maybe a Cha Cha, too. We’ll see. I come from a background as a musician.

Have done showcases and competed ONCE. At this time, I prefer just "social" dancing, without the stress of performing or competing.

Dancing gets into your blood. I have a solid lead, strong but gentle. Currently, my favorites are: progressive 2 step, hustle, swing, waltz and foxtrot. Over the years Ive tried to learn a little about a lot and can dance to most styles. Im kicking around the idea of competing for fun.

I began dancing when I was 17 years old. I quickly found that I had a passion for ballroom and shortly thereafter joined the competitive circuit. For four years I competed in ballroom dance collegiately for Purdue University and then UNC – Chapel Hill. My love for ballroom continued to grow during my time competing. I took every opportunity I could to dance which shortly led me into a professional teaching position. After years of intense studying, competing, training, and coaching, I now teach over 30 different styles of dance.

During my years of competitive and professional ballroom dance experience, I began to realize that dance, more than being entertaining, is an incredibly powerful form of expression. Dance allows you to feel things about yourself and about the world around you that you may have never experienced before. It allows you to express yourself in a genuine, meaningful way simple words just can't.

Perhaps most importantly, I have come to realize that dance is a medium through which you can release stress, anger, frustration, sadness, turmoil, uncertainty, and depression, along with many other emotions. Dance encourages you to understand yourself, to acknowledge and engage with your emotions, and find healing to grow past longstanding obstacles.

I have founded Move with Grace with these ideas in mind. In learning how to dance, I put great emphasis on the comfort of my students. We all have different pasts we’ve overcome, challenges we face, and goals we hope to achieve. I believe that ballroom dance is an art which can facilitate great change in the lives of individuals, and it is to this end that I now teach one of the world’s oldest art forms.

Professional dancer and choreographer with 31 years of experience in International Latin and International Standard (10 dances). I hold a university degree in Choreography, officially recognized in Europe. I spent many years living and competing at a professional level in Japan, representing the country in major dance events. While my primary expertise is International Latin, I also have a strong technical background in International Standard. My goals include professional competitions, show performances, teaching, and choreographic projects.
