My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

Getting back into dancing after years away. Was dancing at a silver level, obviously a bit rusty.

Dance always fascinates me and it becomes a part of my life. After having experienced Argentina Tango for six years, I started to learn the International Ballroom (focusing on Standard so far and planning for Latin). Now, I love it more than ever. I have been dancing ballroom and latin on and off for about 20 years but did not have a regular partner until 2019 and our progress was interrupted by covid restrictions. Unfortunately a foot injury now means my partner can no longer dance. I would say I am a proficient social dancer in ballroom and latin. Through some difficult and painful life lessons I am preparing to be better at life as a whole and I feel like a champion when I practice dancing(even though I haven't arrived at any medals, etc. yet). My desires are to learn to love all people, to get up after falling and hopefully learn from those experience(s) and finally to improve on the best I can be, while hopefully learning to listen to the genuine wisdom of others to blend with my own to build a better life.

To keep it short I have many interests and yes, I am willing to adapt to new ones within reason....except hard rock and heavy rap music. I am generally a quiet guy but in the right atmosphere can be quite lively and entertaining.

Another thing that I forgot to mention is that I am learning not just to enjoy events, outings, just being quiet, fun times, etc..........but, the most important point is that I am learning to treasure each moment that I am with that special someone and not take time and life and her for granted. ...... .... I'm currently learning International Style Standard and Latin dances and been completing in both of those as a silver level pro/am couple. I have also completed in American Style Smooth and Rhythm dances at the Gold level as pro/am. In my spare time, I do a lot of social dancing in Country & Western, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Salsa, Lindy, Argentina Tango, Modern and a few others.

I am taking private and group lessons at difference place around the DC area. I have been told that I have an excellence lead and form, dance floor present and craft, and rapid learner. I'm constantly learning and trying new material in order to give my dancing more dazzle to include tinkling with lifts and drops.

Back in 1999, I started taking ballroom dancing lessons, for about 6 years. Unfortunately, I had some rough years in my life and I couldn't continue, at least with private lessons (I continued to attend parties and group classes occasionally. However, I started taking lessons again about a year ago and have been since. My favorite dances are east coast swing, lindy hop, hustle, as well as others like the salsa, mambo, merengue, cha-cha, waltz, tango. Lately, I'm learning more about the west coast swing, and have found a secondary dance teacher for the Lindy Hop where I take private lessons from her.

I've been dancing competitively for 7 years now and plan to continue taking lessons, training, and competing. I started with american style but quickly switched to international and have been doing 10 dance ever since. I competed for many years in International Standard. My former partner recently decided to retire from practicing or competing in Standard and I'm looking for a new partner for practice and, perhaps, competition.

I started training with some of the best instructors in the area in the standard ballroom style back in 2010, and have been lucky enough to receive some coaching from some world class coaches as well on a fairly regular basis. My passion is international standard. I've had a few competitive partners over the years, but have not been dancing seriously since 2017, when I had my first child. I will be looking to get back into dancing again likely sometime next year, taking regular lessons and ideally practicing once or twice a week with an amateur partner.

I am on the tall side, slim, and athletic. I would love for my partner to love the dancing as much as I do in the sense that he wants to dance and train hard simply for the joy of dancing, and takes pride in achieving true quality in the dancing even more than just winning competitions or getting results, although of course that is important as well. Because of my current family commitments, I'd want to stay fairly local for competitions and practice, but I miss dancing tremendously and would love to find an amateur partner to train with again.

Love to dance and won't quit till you do. Am familiar with all typical ballroom dances - Smooth and Latin. I do know Salsa and Hustle as well. West Coast Swing is one of my favorites. Foxtrot and Bolero would be my other two favorites. Just now starting to learn Argentine Tango. I can see the possibilities are endless, but can't really judge the dance till it becomes 'effortless' - and I'm not there yet.

I have not yet concentrated on any one dance or style in particular, so I am not yet excellent at any of them. I do, however, know enough to get out on the dance floor and hold my own as an advanced level amateur dancer. I have been trying to become a well rounded dancer with a good lead for now - while waiting on the partner. I've loved to dance since grade school yet never had any formal lessons till recently; so most of my prior dancing experience is free-form salsa and swing with partners. I have a good sense of rhythm and timing and love music of all types and am an amateur drummer and especially enjoy watching and dancing to good musicians/bands play live. My profession and business was engineering from which I have retired. I've been fortunate to have experienced travel in Europe, South and Central America, China and Egypt. I am kind and patient and desire to be a good dance leader. I like to laugh and have fun.

Been partnerless for a little bit now. First, due to life stuff, and now due to COVID stuff.

I am a Fred Astaire World Champion currently competing Pro-Am, but I am looking for an amateur partner to practice and compete. Preferred styles are Smooth and Standard. I currently dance at least two hours per day.

I started my dance experience with partner skating at age 9 and continued for 4 years. Switched to Tap, Jazz, Ballet wasn't serious about my dancing until I was 19 since I've taught at Fred Astaire from 2008 to 2014. From then taught consistent independently to current. I still do contract work for dance studios when needed. My goal now is to dance at a high level with the hope of someday being an invigilator or judge. I'm open to possibilities but serious work and goal oriented are a must. I'm really interested in any style however I do focus on Smooth and Standard. Hard work with a focus on movement, connection and creativity are my favorite things! I work as a corporate pilot. I don't fly a ton and have lots of time for dancing. One of the reasons I like the job! My schedule can be erratic and unpredictable at times though. I have spent years in the details and finer points and would love to have somebody to share them with. All while having a balance of just fun and letting go through movement and dance. I am serious about my dancing and long term goals. I am open to conversations of any possibilities for working together.

Hi, I'm 46 years old and took up ballroom dancing 11 years ago. I enjoy dancing and have advanced to a high level. I'm proficient in Latin and Ballroom. I'm very fun loving and like to have a laugh but at the same time I am very focused and willing to work hard. Would love to find a dance partner I can train with. Due to health issues and then lockdown I have not danced properly for a few years. So I don’t mind if you’re proficient or just starting out. We are all finding our feet again!!

I will happily travel and share costs but expect partner to do the same. Seeking a dance partner who will be committed and willing to be flexible with lesson times and locations. Back in the late 70s and early 80s I lived in Beaumont Texas and that’s where I learned to country western dance. I learned the Texas two-step, waltz, polka. I loved it! I wouldn’t say I was a great dancer and certainly not the best on the floor. But I had two partners n taught C&W dance at the Beaumont independent school district for several years. In 1984 or five I moved back to Illinois, which is home, and I haven’t been on the Dancefloor since. I miss it. I would love to find a partner to see if I still have anything left and try to recapture some of the enjoyment I experienced in my youth dancing.

I dance east coast swing 1 to 2 nights a week locally comfortably and well. I have the ability to dance hustle, cha-cha, and waltz with a man who is a good lead. Would like to improve and refine all dances with a good partner.

I had taken private lessons in Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Tango and Bolero as well as group classes in Advanced Tango, Samba, Bolero, Waltz and Foxtrot from Lance Sexton, one of the top Dance Instructors around.

I also have several instructional DVDs and clips of various dances. It is very frustrating to learn routines when you don't have a regular dance partner to practice with.

I now want to do more than just social dancing. I am a great follower and a very quick learner if you care to guide me.

My time is my own ... It's up to you whether you want to practice just weekly or thrice a week. We can practice in my 16' X 18' home studio for Latin dances and rent ballroom floor as desired for smooth dances.
