Ive been dancing for years. Mainly West/East Coast Swing, Country/Western, a little Ballroom, Swamp Pop/Jitterbug. I rarely compete, but always fun..

I have been dancing Salsa and Bachata on and off for about 18 years at dance socials in Central NJ and Northern NJ, and have done couples and group choregraphed performances for these dances at dance studios in the past. I've also learned Argentine Tango, Cha Cha, Rumba, Mambo, and Merengue. I'd like to learn beginner levels of Ballroom dances next, so that I can attend Ballroom/Latin dance socials and dance to any song that comes on. I'd also like to advance my skills in Argentine Tango and the various Latin dances, and have a dance partner to attend private lessons and practice with.

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I'm searching for women who might be able to dance in Kingston or Pine Bush in Ulster county, at a number of places in Dutchess, Putnam, or northern Westchester e. g. Mount Kisco, or in Danbury. I picked those locations because I know of monthly mixed ballroom events there.

So, who says that a woman can't find a man who really loves to dance? Here I am! If there is a woman out there who is seeking a dedicated social dance partner with determination to advance, then look no further! To excel at any one endeavor, I feel like you have to specialize and dance is what I've chosen for that purpose. While always striving to keep dancing fun, I do take it seriously and I have the ambition to work at being the best that I can be. I believe that a serious dancer progresses better and more rapidly by having a steady partner. In addition to my motivation and enthusiasm, it is my appreciation for and my loyalty and devotion to my partner and the way that I express it that sets me apart from others. While I am confident that I'm a good social dancer right now, I know that I still have a long ways to go. I've been dancing a long time, but I still want to learn and I am willing to practice. I'm particularly interested in doing more with hustle, west coast swing and salsa/mambo. I am open to learning new dances. I'm flexible in terms of whether I am either the more experienced dancer or at a lesser skill level than my partner (I am receptive to being coached/trained if my partner has the background and interest in doing so). When not dancing, I enjoy roller coasters, water parks, beaches, going to sporting events and playing pickleball. I have been taking dance lessons for 3 years now. I love the social aspect and challenge of the sport. I am open to learning all styles of dance. My favorite so far are salsa, east coast, west coast, and nightclub two step. My goals in dance are to become an overall better dancer and more confident. I stared dancing at 18 when I took my first dance class as in college. I had no idea it would be so fun. I ended up dancing all through college and was even in Ballet company for a few years I previously had a handful of Ballroom. Swing, and salsa classes over the years and Always wanted to do more partner dancing so I'm open to pretty much any style. I recently picked up Country dancing and am most interested in country dancing.

I have been dancing ballroom and latin on and off for about 20 years but did not have a regular partner until 2019 and our progress was interrupted by covid restrictions. Unfortunately a foot injury now means my partner can no longer dance. I would say I am a proficient social dancer in ballroom and latin. I've been ballroom dancing for about 11 years now, first doing pro-am competition, and more recently competing at the amateur level (in International Latin). At the pro-am level, I've competed in the Latin, Rhythm, and American Smooth styles. I did fairly well competitively, especially with Latin and Rhythm, and have won a fair number of scholarships in some of the larger competitions. On the amateur side, I competed at the pre-champ and open levels in Latin. My partner and I won the pre-champ division in our age level, and then made the final in open Latin at the USA Dance national championships in 2010. Prior to ballroom, I spent about 18 years doing ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. I love everything there is about dance--I think it's part of my soul, and who I am. I want to keep growing and improving in this sport/art, but most of all, I want to have fun doing that!

I've been told I'm a talented dancer. I hope that's true (I'm always full of doubts, of course!), but I know I'm a hard worker, very devoted to dancing, and I'll work my butt off getting reading for a competition or performance. I've had coaching from some of the best in the business, and I'll be forever grateful for the insight, support, and advice these wonderful coaches have given me.

Professionally, I'm a scientist, and have my own business doing consulting work in the biotech world. I'm pretty athletic, I run a lot (and used to compete in running too), lift weights, and do yoga regularly. I'm also a pretty serious mountain climber. I've climbed both in the United States and in South America in the Andes, and I hope to climb Mt. McKinley in Alaska in the very near future (it's on my Bucket List!) I also have what I think is a pretty unique hobby--once I summit a mountain, I do a little dance on the top. I think it's quite possible that I hold the world record for a high altitude samba (20,700 feet on Chimborazo in Ecuador). If you know anyone who's done the samba at a higher elevation than that, I don't want to hear about it.

Oh yeah, I also love dogs and have a great Labrador retriever named Newton. He is truly the best dog on the planet.

I have always loved dance. Started by dancing rock n roll with my parents when I was a kid. Did ballet and tap as a teenager. Have never had a ballroom partner but have been dancing Salsa for a couple of years and regularly going to socials in Derby. Recently started going to West Coast Swing workshops and would love to find someone to train for Jack and Jill comps with.

I've danced since I was 9 years old and I still love to learn. I really want to have fun but at the same time dance as well as possible .

I took up ballroom dancing around 8 years ago, and had a regular partner for around 4 years.

For most of this time I've had weekly lessons at a local dance school in Kendal during which I worked towards the medal examinations each year. In 2016 I achieved gold in Ballroom and silver in Argentine Tango, and in 2017 gold in Latin and gold in Argentine Tango.

I also go to whatever other classes are available, Argentine Tango about twice a month with the odd workshop, also occasional salsa classes and modern jive. I enjoy the discipline of ballroom and latin dances, and the freedom and expression of the Argentine Tango. I enjoy interpreting music in movement and when the music is playing I never seem to tire and will be on the floor all night.

After this my dance school closed and I have a lot less opportunities for dancing. I am therefore considering travelling further afield. The Blackpool Tower is just over an hour's drive and would be a good location for potential try-outs.

One of my friends says I'm not funny, but I can really make myself laugh 😁 I try as much as I can in life to always be positive. In dancing I'm serious about learning, easy-going as a partner, and start from the attitude of "Let's have fun dancing together!"

My first foundation in dance is ballet, tap, and jazz. I studied for about 11 years in these dance disciplines as well as a few others. I performed often, and over the years also choreographed my own dance performance numbers. I have some theater training and experience, which I also feel helps me whenever I'm dancing for an audience.

When I was in college I finally got to try partner dancing for the first time and loved it! It was easy for me to pick up. I started with an introduction to Social Ballroom dancing at The Ballroom of Sacramento. Simultaneously, I took classes in East Coast swing there. I would go frequently to the Saturday night dances and I picked up the Hustle just by following a good lead. Some time after that I took lessons in Argentine Tango at Tango By the River in Sacramento. During this time I was also very active going to the Friday night event in Sacramento known as Midtown Stomp. There I picked up Lindy Hop; again without any lessons, just following good leads. I eventually tried West Coast Swing and immediately I was hooked!

I started dancing at the age of three. My training is predominantly classical (tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical). I danced for many years and at one point in my life owned a dance school for six years. In my early 20s I did a lot of line dancing. I love two step and swing. I stopped dancing 19 years ago when I had my first child. I took some salsa and Bachata classes for about a year nine years ago. I’ve always picked up on Dance easily. My knees aren’t what they used to be but I’m still holding my own. :)

I'm a natural mover and my lifelong work in music informs many different kinds of dance, especially Latin. I've danced Salsa for years, competed in Swing during college years, was on a Bachata dance troupe several years back, and have recently discovered Blues Fusion. I'd say my favorite dance style at the present time is Bachata but am always open to learning new sensual dance forms. I'm in it for the connection and joy, not for performing at this time. Would love to find a partner to develop the dance style with, and to have a companion for going to dance in new fun venues.

Love to dance and won't quit till you do. Am familiar with all typical ballroom dances - Smooth and Latin. I do know Salsa and Hustle as well. West Coast Swing is one of my favorites. I have not yet concentrated on any one dance or style in particular, so I am not yet excellent at any of them. I have been dancing for two years and going to a dance studio around 10 hours a week. I love ballroom dancing, smooth and swing, although I dance some of the Latin dances as well I have recently been at a South Florida dance competition where I was awarded first price for a solo dance with one of my instructors and several other awards for American Walt and tango, foxtrot and vienesse waltz. I am very active and love dancing and having fun.

I've always loved to dance, but haven't had classes since high school. Just started taking tango, swing, and latin classes. Looking for someone to practice and have fun with.

I used to dance salsa regularly before you-know-what stopped everything. Since the end of the lockdown, I've never really got back into it, as all the classes I used to enjoy never seem to have restarted. I danced tango for several years, so I know how much it helps having a regular partner for both motivation and making progress. Salsa is my first love, though. My interest is purely in social dancing (classes and events) rather than competitions or performing. If that matches your outlook, I'd love to hear from you.

I've been dancing for 21 years and I love it. I always like the challenge of becoming better and so I'm always open to further professional tuition. Although my lifestyle doesn't lend itself to competing on a serious level, I have competed in national championships here in Ireland with high placing on the podium :-)

Hi I've been doing ballroom dancing on and off since childhood but never found a regular partner. It's difficult to say my level - it varies according to the dance! I am generally somewhere between bronze and silver I think. I've recently started learning sequence dances as a way to keep dancing though I would love to do more freestyle.
