Back in the late 70s and early 80s I lived in Beaumont Texas and that’s where I learned to country western dance. I learned the Texas two-step, waltz, polka. I loved it! I wouldn’t say I was a great dancer and certainly not the best on the floor. But I had two partners n taught C&W dance at the Beaumont independent school district for several years. In 1984 or five I moved back to Illinois, which is home, and I haven’t been on the Dancefloor since. I miss it. I would love to find a partner to see if I still have anything left and try to recapture some of the enjoyment I experienced in my youth dancing.

Through some difficult and painful life lessons I am preparing to be better at life as a whole and I feel like a champion when I practice dancing(even though I haven't arrived at any medals, etc. yet). I am happily married but unfortunately my other half is way too tall for me as a dance partner. I love both Ballroom and Latin, my favourite dances being Tango and Slow Foxtrot in Ballroom and Rumba and Jive in Latin. I think I have a good sense of humour but don't we all? High level in hustle and other night club dances. Frequent competitor both in Los Angeles and elsewhere. Also showcases. Have brought my American rhythm and smooth back up to silver or gold level in order to compete in 9 dance. Currently taking about 6 hours of privates a week and practicing a similar amount. I'm serious. Life doesn't last forever, I started out in this way to late and am doing everything I can to catch up. My wife has no interest in dancing but fully supports my dance activities. Love to dance and won't quit till you do. Am familiar with all typical ballroom dances - Smooth and Latin. I do know Salsa and Hustle as well. West Coast Swing is one of my favorites. Foxtrot and Bolero would be my other two favorites. Just now starting to learn Argentine Tango. I can see the possibilities are endless, but can't really judge the dance till it becomes 'effortless' - and I'm not there yet.

I have not yet concentrated on any one dance or style in particular, so I am not yet excellent at any of them. I do, however, know enough to get out on the dance floor and hold my own as an advanced level amateur dancer. I have been trying to become a well rounded dancer with a good lead for now - while waiting on the partner. I am learning and having lots of fun while doing so, but my dancing could be so much more with a good dedicated dancer.

More than willing to concentrate on any one particular dance/style if partner has a preference, but I do hope to find a partner that likes to dance everything.

I am a very dedicated person in the dance industry and want to become even more. I love movies,music, teaching,taking care of my house, going out dancing or to a club ,traveling, restaurants, games, and lots of other things.I have been trained in hiphop, breaking , raving,jazz, ballet, ballroom, rythm, standard and latin. I would like to compete in rythm and eventually go to 9 dance.

I taught basic and intermediate ballroom for more than 20 years (part time), mostly at recreation centers. However, due to injuries I have been out of the dance scene for about 13 years. I am not interested in pursuing dancing as an occupation. I wish to re-acquire my dance skills for personal enjoyment and physical rehabilitation.

I would like to take part in the competitions, and get dance class with dance partner in Edinburgh or TownHill. And I wish to dance in social dance party nearby.

Briefly trained as a dance instructor in the seventies. Getting back into social dancing. Currently taking group lessons in all types of dance with Fred Astair Studios.

Other dances: I've been taking ballet classes (3 times a week) since 2013; I am also very into Arg. Tango, Hustle, Lindy and WCS. I would like to try smooth and zouk too!

10-dancer of about 14 years. Recently moved to the Austin (TX) area from New York City. Looking to get back into the competitive dance scene. My recent trainers are Ina Jeliazkova, Olga Tsikalyuk, Frantseska Yordanova, to name a few.

Dancing a little more than one year; prefer frequent practices to learn ballroom dance, especially Latin rhythm dances. Don't know where it will lead but eager to explore and see where it goes for me with dance!
