Unfortunately, shortly after this incredible achievement, I had to give up the greatest passion of my life — ballroom dancing 💔 😥 It was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make.

But even though I had to step away from the dance floor, ballroom dancing remains a huge part of who I am — and it always will 🕺💃 ✨

I recently retired from competing at the Championship level in International Standard, but would like to continue dancing for fun and exercise.

I have been taking dance lessons for 3 years now. I love the social aspect and challenge of the sport. I am open to learning all styles of dance. My favorite so far are salsa, east coast, west coast, and nightclub two step. My goals in dance are to become an overall better dancer and more confident. I am new in San Marcos, are there any places to dance near here? I used to teach Ballroom, Swing (East and West Coast)and Salsa. Perhaps I'll see you while I am out dancing - I always like to dance fancy steps, because they are more fun, and I don't want to dance like a clone - just marching or walking around the floor; however, if my partner is a beginner I can dance using more basic steps. I always wear a cool hat when I come and go as it keeps my head warm. Also, I am allergic to cats and don't have the time that other pets need - especially dogs, dogs are nice but require a lot of time and attention - I don't want to be cruel, so I have no pets.

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

Looking for dance partner/leader for social ballroom classes and/or private lessons and events in and around the West Yorkshire area. I've been dancing around 20 years (West Coast Swing, Blue's, Jive etc.) but only ballroom dancing for around 12 months, but I love it and would like a partner to continue learning and dancing.

Growing up in a lower-middle class family of seven, my parents were never able to enroll me in very many extracurricular activities, due to financial constraints. Now, as an adult, I have decided that I would like to live my dream of learning to ballroom dance. So, in August 2010, I enrolled in weekly ballroom dancing classes at a local dance studio in Batesville, AR. In December 2010, my teacher introduced me to the world of social ballroom dancing in a club in Little Rock, AR, where I now go on Friday nights when my daughter's extracurricular high school band schedule permits. Personally, I feel that I pick up dances quite easily. Also, my teacher says I am a very good follower. My favorite dances are the Waltz and Foxtrot, and I would very much like to learn the Viennese Waltz, the Argentine Tango, and the Quick Step. If someone out there will just have a little faith in me, I am very willing to learn. I just need to find the right partner---one who complements me and I, him!

High level in hustle and other night club dances. Frequent competitor both in Los Angeles and elsewhere. Also showcases. I moved back to the UK at the end of 2024, from a long period overseas. I used to dance several times a week about 20 years ago (Latin, ballroom, Salsa, Ceroc) but got distracted by the outdoors and other sports. I have recently started learning to lead, so although I dance mostly as a follower, I am mainly here to seek out a follower with whom to practice as a leader. Learning to lead is fun, and I believe it has the added benefit of making me a better follower. Since I am still a "beginner" as a leader, I would be a good partner for a a beginner lady - or for a man who wants to learn to follow. But unlike most beginner dancers, I already have a solid frame, a firm-yet-elastic connection, lightness on my feet, a precise grasp of musical timing, and proficiency in basic technique.

Dances I am best at leading are: American Smooth waltz, foxtrot, and Viennese waltz; International Latin paso doble; and social dances merengue and polka. But I would like to learn to lead other dances. If we practice together for a bit and find that we are having fun, get along, and learn well together, we could even try performing in a showcase. I have already performed in one showcase as a leader, dancing paso doble with a female friend, and we had a blast.

Regarding my proficiency and experience levels: The largest percentage of my training is in International Standard (as a follower - at open gold level in waltz and foxtrot, and at gold level in the rest), but I am familiar with all styles of ballroom dance: standard, latin, rhythm, smooth, as well as various styles of swing and other social dances. If you want to me to estimate my proficiency level (as a leader or as a follower) for a particular dance, just ask - or better yet - meet me on the social dance floor. I go out social dancing 3-4 times per month, so it's not hard to meet up with me in a social dance setting.

Although my lifestyle doesn't lend itself to competing on a serious level, I have competed in national championships here in Ireland with high placing on the podium :-)

Whilst my home town is Sligo in the northwest of Ireland, I travel quite a bit.

This SEPTEMBER I've PLANNED a VISIT to the TOWER BALLROOM in BLACKPOOL. I'd love to meet a dancer who'd like to JOIN ME THERE!

I'm also interested in finding dance partners for other social events in the UK, Spain and Perth WA (as I visit there quite often).

I would love to meet dance partners to practice/dance/socialise with. I have a GOSH and a good outlook on life. I just want to keep on enjoying my dancing as I travel and have fun.

I started at age 8 being part of an art academy which involved singing, acting, dancing. I learned jazz partner dancing and tap then later on in middle school I took ballet, hip hop and belly dance classes and in highschool I decided to try ballroom and fell inlove with it.

Over the years created a system of teaching the major ballroom dances by interrelating steps of dances to make easy learning.Then adding personal style to ones dancing.Still work with small groups,but mostly retired from full time teaching.I have fun dancing and meeting people.Some travel,getting back to going to dance events.I will help judge sometimes but not as much anymore.I have never stopped learning new techniques and truly believe dancing keeps you young and healthy.

I started dancing when I was three — tap, ballet, and jazz — and I fell in love with ballroom at age twenty while training at Fred Astaire Dance Studios. I come to the Twin Cities one to two times a month and always enjoy an evening at places like the Blues Saloon or the VFW. I took both some basic salsa and West Coast swing dance lessons around 2010. Do not remember much from them but am willing to practice with someone who wants to have fun dancing but has patience. I am hoping to take again lessons in at least one of these styles sometime this year (2026).

If I am able to find a good dance connection, I am no open you other styles as well.

As I like and learn a style, I am willing to spend more time practicing.

Hi, my name is Richard. I would like to find a dance partner that is 60's plus like myself. One that I could also date and maybe turn into a meaningful relationship. I am 6' tall, 170 lbs. at 10.1 % bodyfat. I love to dance. I have been social dancing for 30 years. My favorite music to dance to is Rockabilly, 50's Rock'n'Roll, and Traditional Country. One of my hobbies was skydiving (1800 jumps ). I have some real stories to tell about that. Also, I was into racing formula cars for 20 years. My passion is weightlifting. I LOVE to dance! Started way back when I caught Disco fever and have never stopped. I've danced most styles (especially love old style Latin music). Over the years, I've evolved into more of a "feel" type dancer, meaning I dance from my gut and my heart, let the music get inside and then ooze out of me as it inspires my body movement.

I have a strong background in ballroom dancing — I trained and competed professionally for about 10 years, taking part in various championships and also teaching for a year at a dance school. My main focus was International Latin and Standard, but I also enjoyed Salsa and Social Ballroom.

Although I stepped away from dancing about 7 years ago, I deeply miss it. Dance has always been my passion, my way to recharge, and a source of happiness. Now I want to bring this discipline and joy back into my life. My goal is to rebuild my dance form, regain flexibility, and reconnect with the techniques I once mastered.

I hold a university degree in Choreography, officially recognized in Europe. I spent many years living and competing at a professional level in Japan, representing the country in major dance events. While my primary expertise is International Latin, I also have a strong technical background in International Standard. My goals include professional competitions, show performances, teaching, and choreographic projects.

I am a former ballroom dancer converted to West Coast Swing. I tried some other social dances along the way. I value precision and technical excellence. Rigorous training and drills - that's my thing. But also creating unique and connected dance experience.

Been dancing French Jive for several years but I now want to start relearning some those forgotten Ballroom and Latin steps. Confident and comfortable at most dance styles.

I am relatively new to the Toronto area. Looking for a practice partner who has successful Latin American competition experience.

I am slim, very committed, rhythmical, hard working, athletic and non-smoking. I weigh in at 160lbs, 5ft 7in (170cm). I am a passionate Latin American competition dancer. Latin coaches over the last few years have included the Douglasses, Truemans, and Jake Davies with occasional sessions with Ian Waite, Hannes Emrich and Andrew Cuerden/Hanna Haarala. In my last 18 months in England I trained with Mark Lunn (London) and Andrzej Mialkowski (Northampton). Since moving to Toronto, now train at Ol-Si dance sport with Oleg Yedlin, Valentin Kolesnikov, and Antoaneta Popova.

I started competing in LA in March 08 and competed successfully during most of 2008 and 2009 and were easily within the Top 12 in the Senior Latin English chart. During 2010 I took a break from competitions and eased my way back in during late October for a few comps before the British National. In January 2011 I won the Senior Pre-Am Latin (Champions of Tomorrow) at Blackpool, and in June 2011, Stars of The Future, confirming that I am the top Senior Pre Champ in the UK, and making the quarter finals of the British National and Top 60 in the British Open.

Besides all that, I am a keen social dancer and frequent the usual places from time to time. Happy to work with a professional or amateur, and happy to perform/demonstrate and possibly compete at Pre Champ/Champ level.

I'm currently learning International Style Standard and Latin dances and been completing in both of those as a silver level pro/am couple. I have also completed in American Style Smooth and Rhythm dances at the Gold level as pro/am. In my spare time, I do a lot of social dancing in Country & Western, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Salsa, Lindy, Argentina Tango, Modern and a few others.

I am taking private and group lessons at difference place around the DC area. I have been told that I have an excellence lead and form, dance floor present and craft, and rapid learner. I'm constantly learning and trying new material in order to give my dancing more dazzle to include tinkling with lifts and drops.

Gold level in International Standard and Silver-Gold in Latin. Currently taking lessons to advance.

Hey, for the purposes of meeting on here you can call me TMT, the natural red-headed firecracker! LOL! OK, if you're still reading, this is a good sign. One of my friends says I'm not funny, but I can really make myself laugh 😁 I try as much as I can in life to always be positive. In dancing I'm serious about learning, easy-going as a partner, and start from the attitude of "Let's have fun dancing together!"

My first foundation in dance is ballet, tap, and jazz. I studied for about 11 years in these dance disciplines as well as a few others. I performed often, and over the years also choreographed my own dance performance numbers. I have some theater training and experience, which I also feel helps me whenever I'm dancing for an audience.

When I was in college I finally got to try partner dancing for the first time and loved it! It was easy for me to pick up. I started with an introduction to Social Ballroom dancing at The Ballroom of Sacramento. Simultaneously, I took classes in East Coast swing there. I would go frequently to the Saturday night dances and I picked up the Hustle just by following a good lead. Some time after that I took lessons in Argentine Tango at Tango By the River in Sacramento. During this time I was also very active going to the Friday night event in Sacramento known as Midtown Stomp. There I picked up Lindy Hop; again without any lessons, just following good leads. I eventually tried West Coast Swing and immediately I was hooked!

After all these years. I have not skipped a beat and I have danced 2-3 times a week since then. I found I still got it. I cant wait to dance with others to see where I can take it...
