I am currently at a beginner bronze level in the Arthur Murray syllabus in American smooth and rhythm. I have competed at several Arthur Murray events including two dance o ramas. I am interested in continuing the American styles along with learning international as well. I would also like to expand my skills to west coast swing, argentine tango, and zouk. I am seeking a partner who would like to compete.

I am just about to take Argentine dance lessons (January 2026). I hope to be able to have the opportunity to dance outside of classes.

I took both some basic salsa and West Coast swing dance lessons around 2010. Do not remember much from them but am willing to practice with someone who wants to have fun dancing but has patience. I am hoping to take again lessons in at least one of these styles sometime this year (2026).

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I discovered dancing ( modern jive) quite a few years ago and it has opened up a whole new social world for me, I have found to my surprise that I can actually string a few moves together and enjoy it very much . I'm not satisfied with the level that I am at and would like to meet a possible dance partner that perhaps i can gel with and hopefully improve my dancing. I enjoyed learning basic Argentine tango, but also loved west coast swing , I was struggling to do both so concentrated on west coast swing and although I enjoyed the music and dance style very much. My main interest is Argentine Tango, I have been attending classes and workshops for over 3 years, which is just long enough to discover how beautiful this dance form can be, I so want to improve my Tango skills and I'm prepared to put the work in to achieve that aim . I have been dancing ballroom and latin on and off for about 20 years but did not have a regular partner until 2019 and our progress was interrupted by covid restrictions. Unfortunately a foot injury now means my partner can no longer dance. I would say I am a proficient social dancer in ballroom and latin. I have been dancing modern jive for about twenty years and I am very good at it but go regularly to the same venue so do not need a partner for this but am very willing to int0rduce a potential partner.

In 2005 I got into social dancing and Argentine Tango. In 2021 I started lessons to learn all of the dances and am now going to compete in UCWDC

From 1977-87, at studios in Michigan, I competed in ProAm American style events, Bronze and Silver (4 years as a student, 6 years as a pro with my students; see photo) and did many, many showcases. We had weekly training from the top trainers in Michigan and others who were brought in several times a year, on technique and syllabus through Gold. When I moved to the DC area in 1988, I studied international standard and got my amateur status back in 1995. I have kept up my dancing through the years by attending dances and workshops at area studios, and by attending international choreographed ballroom dance weekends (Phase IV-V). I look forward to meeting others with whom I can share my love of dance.

Hi - I started dancing classes in January 2018 for a few terms, and post Covid I started again in 2020 - but its been somewhat sporadic, due to the need to find a dance partner and fit in classes.

I am a beginner looking to learn a range of dance styles - ballroom and Latin - and have fun learning.

I am happily married - but my wife isn’t interested in dancing, hence the search for a dance partner.

I have been dancing Argentine Tango for about 6 years. I came from a ballroom background, tried Argentine Tango on a whim and found it difficult, challenging, and frustrating. However, I kept being drawn back to tango until I finally gave into it. When I first started tango I remember someone telling me that it takes a lifetime to learn. I thought that sounded silly. But now, the longer I dance tango, the truer that statement becomes. The more I learn in tango, the more I see that I have so much more to learn.

Attending on average two classes a week, aiming for at least one freestyle every weekend

American-born Asian. Outgoing, educated, travelled. Started in ballroom, dancing mostly east coast and lindyhop the last 10 years. I'd love to find a regular lindy, bal-swing, West Coast Swing or Argentine Tango partner to learn and practice with. Love big bands, swing, jazz and blues. I do alot of hiking in the mountains. Been called an 'Intuitive' dancer, but being in tune with my partner is more how I see it. My general belief is a good lead does not need to push a lady through things, but guides. A little exception is some gals that have some physical issues, and I need to fill in the gap where needed. This happens most when I take cruises as Gentleman Host. When they feel like they've just danced as well as they did at an earlier time, it’s tremendously rewarding for me.

This has been a year of many changes. Mostly good. My goal going forward is to have a good dance partner sometime in the New Year.

I love dancing of various kinds - most zouk, salsa, bachata , kizomba and their fusion.

As for me - young spirit, open mind, like travelling, wildlife. Patience, empathy are my strenghts, not only while dancing. Not big talker. Natural teacher. Not happy with sparkling dress. Not ordinary mix of introvert and extrovert.

It is not easy to find somebody who loves hard-work dance training. And without dance partner progress is usually very poor.

I love all forms of dance and am happiest when expressing myself through dance. Performing is important to me, but dancing should be a fulfillment of self. It has been a few years since I danced seriously, but I have always focused heavily on proper technique, which never really goes away.

I love to dance, always have. Got real good about 12 years ago but my partner got married and I stopped. I wish I didn't and hope to start again. We went swinging a lot but I also hit up the latin clubs occasionally and I wish I learned more while I was there.

I've competed once at the Emerald Ball and am hooked. My pro-am partner and I did really well, no firsts, but received medals in 3 Latin dances.

After all these years. I have not skipped a beat and I have danced 2-3 times a week since then. I found I still got it. I cant wait to dance with others to see where I can take it... I come from a Puerto Rican background, so Salsa music (as well as Bachata and Merengue, but to a lesser extent) has always been a part of my life. I started dancing seriously in December 2024. I'm dancing American Smooth, American Rhythm as well as Salsa, Merengue, American Paso Doble, Argentine Tango and west coast swing.

I have been competing for a couple of years at a bronze level in rhythm and smooth. My favorite dance is Argentine Tango.

I'm more of a Latin dancer as for my experience but I'm open to doing more Argentine tango and Kizomba. Dancing is fun for me.

I danced a bit of hip hop growing up and was always surrounded by dancers. But it wasnt till 5 years ago that a friend showed me a basic rumba step and i was hooked i have been dancing on and off since then.

I had the privilege of performing this year and loved it. My goal in the next 2 years is to get paid to perform on stage and for that i need to practice. I love fusion partner dance and im particularly drawn to to micro movements of kisomba and the footwork of salsa. Of this list i am most experienced in bachata salsa and kisomba. I would love to set a goal with you and work towards it

Lots of experience with improv dancing, but not formally trained. Background of BS biochemistry and art, grad school chemistry, CTESOL, body therapy, professional tutoring, visual art, acting, singing, and improvisational dance. Looking for someone who loves to to dance creatively, passionately, spiritually!

I have been dancing on and off for a few years, but have never stuck with it. I really want to because a good dancer this year, but I need someone to practice with.

My favorite dances include intermediate level Hustle, Nite-Club 2 Step, West Coast Swing. I also enjoy Waltz, Rhumba, Foxtrot, Cha-Cha, Tango, and Salsa . I would like to expand my repertory in all. Eventually I would like to learn the beautiful dance of Argentine Tango.
