My passion for the Argentine Tango, led me to study in Buenos Aires and continues to inspire my travels. A foundation in theater, ballet and jazz with over 20 years of dance experience, I was recently invited to join a premiere performance dance company. Additionally, I am an instructional assistant and event co-host.

I love to dance! My favorite dance is West Coast Swing! Have danced freestyle all my life. As for the number of years of experience ballroom/swing dancing that's actually hard to say. Back in the late 70s and early 80s I lived in Beaumont Texas and that’s where I learned to country western dance. I learned the Texas two-step, waltz, polka. I loved it! I wouldn’t say I was a great dancer and certainly not the best on the floor. But I had two partners n taught C&W dance at the Beaumont independent school district for several years. In 1984 or five I moved back to Illinois, which is home, and I haven’t been on the Dancefloor since. I miss it. I would love to find a partner to see if I still have anything left and try to recapture some of the enjoyment I experienced in my youth dancing.

Started Swing (Modern Lindy Hop) in 2000. Inspired by Frankie Manning. Started Mambo (Triple Mambo) a few years later. Also dance Blues and Waltz.

I taught classes in Modern Lindy Hop for several years.

I dance in the styles as these dances came out of Harlem in the 40s. Preserving the history and spreading the knowledge and joy of 1940s' Rhythm Dance is a passion.

I am a strong yet conscientious lead. Strong on technique.

In my teaching years I was a noted Lindy technique instructor in the Swing Dance Community.

I taught approx 300 classes and courses. Organized 250+ dances. Served on the staff of 5 American Lindy Hop Championships. Formerly the founder/director of the Swing Dance Community Chapter serving Fairfield, Westchester and later, Putnam.

I would classify myself as a professional social dancer. I've never been in it to make money. Always kept fees as low as I could manage.

I always included teaching the history of the music and dance in my classes. Including how society as well as music and dance was forever changed by Swing.

Looking for dance partner/leader for social ballroom classes and/or private lessons and events in and around the West Yorkshire area. I've been dancing around 20 years (West Coast Swing, Blue's, Jive etc.) but only ballroom dancing for around 12 months, but I love it and would like a partner to continue learning and dancing.

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I started taking individual and group classes for about 7 months. I dance 4-5 days a week, work hard, and am critical of my progress. I have been working on learning the American 9 primary, but also do some social Latin and country, planning to be able to compete Q2 next yr. Hi, I have been taking private lessons and group classes learning, 2-step, waltz, polka, west coast swing and salsa. I’m amateur/intermediate level and would like to find someone to practice with regularly. I am open to learning other dance styles as well. I am new to the San Antonio metroplex.

Love to dance and won't quit till you do. Am familiar with all typical ballroom dances - Smooth and Latin. I do know Salsa and Hustle as well. West Coast Swing is one of my favorites. Foxtrot and Bolero would be my other two favorites. Just now starting to learn Argentine Tango. I can see the possibilities are endless, but can't really judge the dance till it becomes 'effortless' - and I'm not there yet.

I have not yet concentrated on any one dance or style in particular, so I am not yet excellent at any of them. I competed for many years in International Standard. My former partner recently decided to retire from practicing or competing in Standard and I'm looking for a new partner for practice and, perhaps, competition.

My primary dance experience is in standard ten-dance ballroom, having danced on and off for the last 20 years. Most recently I've been dancing regularly (3 - 5 times per week) for four years. I also enjoy Argentine Tango (two years), and salsa and bachata (two years).

I minored in dance in a Performing Arts highschool, but I focused on my majors more. I wish I'd stuck with dance because I love its expression so much. I dance when I'm emotional, and would love to learn more and dance more.

I socially danced ballroom at a beginning state years ago but gave it up over 25 years ago. I have always loved to dance and after my husband passed in 2022 I decided to bring dance back into my life.I currently take private lessons with a Competition skilled instructor 3 days a week and attend 3 hours of classes. When available, I also take 3 hour workshops on weekend. Rumba is my favorite style of dance but, I also love American waltz, Foxtrot, Nightclub 2 step, I am just learning West Coast swing, Cha-Cha and American Tango. I want to dance well showing the heart of each dance.

I love living life to the fullest. I am a high energy gal and especially like travel, the beach, music, dancing, skiing, dining out, movies, reading, in-line skating, great adventures, hiking, and always open to new experiences.

Dancing, as of late, is at the top of my list. I would love to find a partner to learn and grow with.

I started my ballroom dance hobby/passion about 20 years ago with LOTS of group lessons and then in about 2009 got into private lessons for the first time. I took the lessons for a year and a half and during that time did 2 studio showcases and 2 pro-am competitions. Over the last about 10 years I have been in and out (unfortunately) of private lessons, although recently was able to take some private lessons consistently and do another pro-am competition.

I have also had the opportunity to take private lessons with an amateur partner as we prepared to compete. Because of relocating I had to stop that endeavor.

I have been a competitive ballroom dancer, teacher and performer for over 20 years. My mother was also a professional ballroom dancer. She danced with her brother Art in a lot of the big cities in the United States, But mostly in New York. When I was a senior in High School, I was voted best dancer for the yearbook. After college, I got a job at Arthur Murray's dance school. I taught at the Arthur Murray's in Wayne PA., Narberth PA. and Wilmington DE. Today I have my own dance business.

I mostly like to go to see bands and dance at different venues. I have taken ballroom dancing classes in the past.

Beginer. Basics 5 years ago. No training since. I danced for 6 monts traditional dances while i was studying.

I have taken private and group lessons from a multitude of dance studios and instructors over the years. Years ago I competed, mostly within the Arthur Murray system. I have performed several showcases. I prefer social dancing to doing routines.

I am generally a very good lead and am currently dancing somewhere at between an advanced bronze and silver level. I have pretty good technique and could compete if I wanted to.

My wife likes dancing with her dance instructor and I enjoy dancing with other amateurs. Although we both ballroom dance, we have found that we are happier when we do it separately. I am happily married and am only looking for a dance partner.

I started dancing in December 2005 and am now officially hooked!! The reason I started was to fill a void in my life and to find a way to detach myself from my job, which tends to be a little overwhelming at times. I've just returned from my fifth competition and now realize that I want this to become an important part of my life. I love to dance and love to learn. I consider myself an Intermediate level dancer. I enjoy practicing to improve my leader and partner skills. I've been told I am a very good leader, (you be the judge, lol). I like foxtrot, waltz, cha-cha, hustle, rumba, bolaro, quickstep, tango, salsa, Viennese waltz, and West Coast swing, but open to all types of dance. I'd like to practice twice a week for about 2 hours. I am retired and my schedule has flexibility.

From 1977-87, at studios in Michigan, I competed in ProAm American style events, Bronze and Silver (4 years as a student, 6 years as a pro with my students; see photo) and did many, many showcases. We had weekly training from the top trainers in Michigan and others who were brought in several times a year, on technique and syllabus through Gold. When I moved to the DC area in 1988, I studied international standard and got my amateur status back in 1995. I have kept up my dancing through the years by attending dances and workshops at area studios, and by attending international choreographed ballroom dance weekends (Phase IV-V). I look forward to meeting others with whom I can share my love of dance.

Over 10 years experience in training, dancing and performing Argentine tango, including various styles of tango. Additional study and dance of Middle Eastern/Belly Dance, Fire Dance and yoga. I’m interested in most styles of dance! I also develop my own style combining various world dance forms, including aspects of story telling and acting.

I like to live every day fully with quality lifestyle, recreation, friends. I am positive and open to new experiences and new places to explore. I am semi-retired, have a flexible schedule and would love to do more dance practice and social dancing at this time in my life.

I have been trained by some international coaches and have a lot of international experience, in both international and American style of dance. I am an experienced performer.

I have been professionally training dance since 2002, and I also give dance classrooms for Argentine Tango, Ballroom, Latin and Salsa dances.

I am pretty athletic and fit. I love to dance (perhaps obvious since I'm on this site). Taking lessons 2+ years with outstanding teachers. I've done only ballroom smooth and rhythm so far. Am loving all of it. I have gone to some socials which are fun. But would really love a great practice partner. Have been taking at least 4 lessons a week for awhile but would like to get more practice and maybe compete at amateur level.

Competitive ballroom 10 dances as an adult for 7 years. Left dancing in 2006 when transitioning from B to A class. Returned to ProAm in 2014 for a year.

Want to return to regular practice. Prefer Standard even though I have more experience in Latin. In addition to full Standard program I want to acquire Argentine tango and direct+perform show dances featuring various versions of tango, paso doble, rumba and flamenco.
