Spent the last10 years falling deeply in love with West Coast Swing and the vibrant thrill of sensuous dancing.

Ballet ( Royal Ballet School ) and classical Greek dance trained Ballroom dancing for 9 years the last three with regular lessons I am extremely good at following as that is how I originally learnt I can do Gold and a gold star routines but the technique is not perfect!!!!!!! I dance for the love of it but also recognise the value of building on my technique

Interests: Improvised Partner Dance, Flow Arts, Contact Improv, Performance Dance, Experimental Dance

Goals: I would like to explore improvised partner dance of any form (Argentine Tango, contact improv, etc) with a dedicated and open-minded dance partner who shares my enthusiasm for good music and experimentation.

Training:

I have training in belly dance, ballet, tap, production line dancing, pole dancing, burlesque and Butoh. I have had some training in Argentine Tango and I would like to learn more. I LOVE the freedom of Ecstatic Dance and I attend on a weekly basis. I also have extensive martial arts training, which can occasionally influence how I move. :)

Experience:

I've been dancing since I came out of the womb and I have decades of formal and informal experience.

I have choreographed dance for the stage and I have taught intermediate and advanced tap dance to students (ages 11 to 70). My experience reflects how much I enjoy performance. I am an award winning burlesque dancer and I occasionally perform in the DMV. I am a member of 2 short form improv groups (not exactly dance, but it integrates a lot of what I do best in dance: comedy/physicality/performance.)

I used to compete in CW couples. Haven't been dancing for some time but would like to get back into it with a nice partner. I have a good space in my own home for dancing. But I know.....That will come later! I totally respect your preferences!

We don't have to do solely CW. I enjoy ECS, WCS, Waltz, Cha-cha.

Such an out of date profile I had so here's and update: I have been dancing for quite a few years mostly enjoying shows and performances. Mostly its been about the enjoyment of dancing. However a few years back decided to do a comp in Blackpool and won the Waltz and Jive. Have done a few other competitions in the following years doing fairly well. Its still about the love of dancing for me, but the competitions sharpen you up, and can be good fun.

I would like to find a partner who would like to go an compete on the one circuit, get some decent routines together and to become as good as possible, considering I didn't start doing this at the age of 4 !

If its worth doing then its worth trying your best, so I would like to give that a go with someone fairly like minded.

New to dancing scene. Know a couple of country line dance combos, some basic salsa, bachata and tango. Open to learning swing and other dance styles as well.

Experience: 20 years of competitive and social ballroom dancing.

Primary Focus: Standard Ballroom (Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot).

Secondary Focus: Latin American (Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba).

Current Training: I maintain a rigorous training schedule with 2 private coaching sessions per week. I focus heavily on top-line posture, fluidity of movement, and musicality.

Style: I am known for being a responsive follower with a strong frame, adaptable to various leading styles while maintaining a sophisticated silhouette on the floor.

County Western - 2 step: I consider myself intermediate; desire to learn and work on some new moves and turns.

West Coast Swing: I consider myself a beginner and just need practice to get the footwork ingrained.

I was a ballroom instructor for 15 years. No longer an instructor, I now enjoy social dancing for fun and excitement. I most enjoy the smooth or standard dances for their flow of movement.

Covid was a buzzkill but I am back! I just enjoyed a successful debut at Emerald, Dessert Classic and Embassy, taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in a variety of events. But the partner is going to dance full time with his girlfriend now.

I am a 3 Time US National Senior 1 and Senior 2 Latin Champion looking for ambitious, committed lead. I’ve enjoyed being in Top 20 in Senior Latin at Blackpool, several international and world championships. I have loved every moment of it.

My regular (recent) coaches have been Tykon and Yana, Max Sinitsa, Shirley Ballas, Goran Nordin, Evgeny Nazarov, Nikolay Voronovich, and Anna Kovalova, and have studied with many more of the greats. I love the ballroom life - the music, the beauty, the travel and most importantly, the dances.

I have been dancing Argentine Tango for about 6 years. I came from a ballroom background, tried Argentine Tango on a whim and found it difficult, challenging, and frustrating. However, I kept being drawn back to tango until I finally gave into it. When I first started tango I remember someone telling me that it takes a lifetime to learn. I thought that sounded silly. But now, the longer I dance tango, the truer that statement becomes. The more I learn in tango, the more I see that I have so much more to learn.

Getting back into dancing after years away. Was dancing at a silver level, obviously a bit rusty.

Dancing invigorates, impassions, and absorbs me. I can't get enough of it. I would practice everyday, all day long, but unfortunately I have to have an income. :)

Presently, I am focusing on Ballroom and West Coast Swing. I have taken WCS lessons with Danielle Blouin and Hugo Miguez and Stacy Kay. I still love salsa and hustle though, and am open to A. Tango, but I can't just do A. Tango, I need variety.

Being an former gymnast and yoga teacher, I have quite a bit of flexibility and strength. I would enjoy doing aerial, lifts, and dips. Just after our "At the Hop" performance in Gulfport, FL. A regular in the audience mistook me for an 18 year old. LOL I have fun! I love to perform, but don't have to compete (theater arts is appropriate). I like the hard stuff.

On the personal side, I am a vegetarian and am into healthy eating and healthy living. I also love music, art, architecture, theater, swimming, walks on the beach, and out in nature.

Dance is a beautiful art Form that I wish to be able to share with my partner and the world by performing exquisitely.

High level in hustle and other night club dances. Frequent competitor both in Los Angeles and elsewhere. Also showcases. Have brought my American rhythm and smooth back up to silver or gold level in order to compete in 9 dance. Currently taking about 6 hours of privates a week and practicing a similar amount. I'm serious. Life doesn't last forever, I started out in this way to late and am doing everything I can to catch up. My wife has no interest in dancing but fully supports my dance activities. Prior to covid I attended Toronto Salsa/Bachata Congress, Las Vegas Open, and numerous local events such as Emerald Ball but now lessons, practice, and tea dances.

I mostly like to go to see bands and dance at different venues. I have taken ballroom dancing classes in the past.
