Social dance for fun and fitness

Started Shag Dancing 1993, collect Beach Music.

I have been swing dancing and I am now looking into getting into Lindy, ballroom, and salsa. I have signed up for salsa lessons in Brandon starting in 2 weeks.

Twenty-five years ago, I owned and managed a dance studio. I have enjoyed teaching International Ballroom dancing. My favorite International ballroom dances are rhumba, cha cha cha, jive, jitterbug, swing, Tango, waltz and Viennese waltz. I wear between 4 and 5 inches high high heel to dance and walk. Therefore, my height will not resticted me to dance with a taller male.

Looking for someone who is willing to practice 4hrs a day 5days a week or more. Wanting to compete internationally as well as nationally. Goal is to make finales at the competitions we attend.

I danced a bit of hip hop growing up and was always surrounded by dancers. But it wasnt till 5 years ago that a friend showed me a basic rumba step and i was hooked i have been dancing on and off since then.

I had the privilege of performing this year and loved it. My goal in the next 2 years is to get paid to perform on stage and for that i need to practice. I love fusion partner dance and im particularly drawn to to micro movements of kisomba and the footwork of salsa. Of this list i am most experienced in bachata salsa and kisomba. I would like to partner with someone interested in Ballroom American and Int. Smooth and Rhythm. I would like to practice a few times a week and dance at least once a week at Ballroom Dances. I love to dance and want to advance so I can enjoy the feeling of flying through space and time in that dreamlike state you get when perfecting the dance.

I was trained in various studios, and with private teachers. I compete pro-am some times and do show regularly. I compete in gold levels in both AM/INT styles. my strong dances are AM smooth & INT standard. I also love liturgical and worship dances. I have some ballet training. I would like to travel all over the world to attend dance conferences and dance events.

Hello! I've been dancing Ballroom for 2 years, both ballroom and latin. My goal is to start competing soon but before that I am trying to find a dance partner. I live in the south of Sweden, in Skåne. I am hoping to be able to practice atheist 2 days a week but that could also change to more.

Over the years created a system of teaching the major ballroom dances by interrelating steps of dances to make easy learning.Then adding personal style to ones dancing.Still work with small groups,but mostly retired from full time teaching.I have fun dancing and meeting people.Some travel,getting back to going to dance events.I will help judge sometimes but not as much anymore.I have never stopped learning new techniques and truly believe dancing keeps you young and healthy.

Mom and Dad were the First to start Ballroom Dancing as therapy after my dad had a stoke. My niece was next to get going and I have finally been pulled into Ballroom. I Used to be a Trumpet player for the defense of the country, but now I can be found dancing to the music instead of performing. 17 years of group classes and about 6 of private lessons. Mostly American styles, but have been getting into International lately.

I have been dancing ballroom for about three years and have done 8 pro am competitions in the past two years. I am looking for a dance partner to socially dance, practice and possibly compete. I want to find someone I can find an amazing connection with so that I can fully express my love of dancing. I currently have a professional partner. I am also on the last stretch of my weight loss journey and plan to be at my goal weight by the end of the year.

I've studied three years of Argentine Tango (with Gustavo and Jesica Hornos), several years of social dancing at local places such as Monroe Hall, Ellington Hall, Kicks (West Coast Swing, salsa, ballroom). Currently studying at Arthur Murray Santa Rosa Studio and have been in three pro-am showcases. I'm a good follower with a great attitude, great smile and enthusiasm. Dancing makes me happy but there is always a shortage of good leaders no matter what the dance (except line dancing). I am at full bronze-pre-silver level at Arthur Murray, have participated in six freestyle and solo showcases in the Bay Area.

I am currently at a beginner bronze level in the Arthur Murray syllabus in American smooth and rhythm. I have competed at several Arthur Murray events including two dance o ramas. I am interested in continuing the American styles along with learning international as well. I would also like to expand my skills to west coast swing, argentine tango, and zouk. I am seeking a partner who would like to compete.
