Seeking regular dance partner for classes and possibl socials

I am ONLY dancing in Edinburgh.

I would like to dance with others to gain more experience and gain more confidence to lead while dancing socially. Happy to chat but seeking a partner for sunday evening classes in Leith and dancing at the ocassional social nights.

I love dancing Ballroom & Latin and have a regular dance partner on a Friday evening and I enjoy the process of learning. Unfortunately due to other prioritites we can only meet up on a Friday for classes. I am looking for friends to go to events or to practice socially for social ballroom & Latin

I do like to have a laugh at classes but i do take the lessons seriously. I love to learn and improve my technique even though i had a knee replacement a year ago.. Pre Lockdown I was at a Silver / Gold level standard.

I dance Standard, Latin, and Smooth, and I'm looking for a partner to practice with a few times a week so we can grow together. My goal is to compete in Amateur Novice, Pre-Championship, and Championship categories. I’ve been dancing Standard and Latin for almost three years, am deeply passionate about ballroom, and am highly dedicated to private training.

I was a professional ballet dancer for several years, and when I "retired" due to an injury, I began ballroom dancing around 2012. For the past several years I have been competing pro-am smooth at open level, a few competitions per year. (I also did Latin and standard many years ago and would be interested in picking them back up, especially standard.) I currently dance at Ballroom Village in Loudon County, VA and have done coachings through that studio and through dance camps across the country.

Former dance studio owner and dance teacher for 20 years. I taught children primarily hip hop, breaking & jazz. I taught adults Latin and ballroom up to bronze level. I’ve recently returned to dance classes after 4 years of not dancing. NY Hustle is my first love.

What can I say, dancing is my passion. When I am not dancing I am dreaming about dancing! West Coast Swing is my favorite, but country 2-step & line dancing are a close 2nd. I'm currently teaching WCS, and country partner & line dances a couple times a month and hold a social dance once month. I also teach at the local country bar. Looking for a partner to level up with!

I have an incredible amount of stamina on the dance floor and can go for hours. Contrary to most members, on this site, I am not seeking an actual dance partner for practice or to take lessons.

I am currently taking Salsa group classes and am highly focused on building solid muscle memory. My goal is to ensure my leading is smooth, clear, and perfectly timed, making the dance effortless and comfortable for my follow. I'm a patient learner, highly respectful, and outside of dance, I stay very active and fit.

I started dancing in 2022 and progressed quickly into teaching and then professional dancing. I’ve competed and been a finalist in multiple rising star standard competitions. I teach and live in Long Island, New York under Fred Astaire Manhasset. I have completed all NDCA Bronze level teaching examinations and all Bronze and below FADS examinations.

I started taking private and group lessons in early 2024 and I’m really loving it.

I have been dancing ballroom and latin on and off for about 20 years but did not have a regular partner until 2019 and our progress was interrupted by covid restrictions. Unfortunately a foot injury now means my partner can no longer dance. I would say I am a proficient social dancer in ballroom and latin. I have been dancing modern jive for about twenty years and I am very good at it but go regularly to the same venue so do not need a partner for this but am very willing to int0rduce a potential partner.

Artistic dance and figure skater growing up. Also played hockey. Medalist in several state and regional championships. Qualified for the Nationals four consecutive years.

Started ballroom dancing in 2007. Danced socially on and off through 2014. Restarted dancing in Philadelphia in 2025, performing a Viennese Waltz in an annual showcase with only 6 weeks of prep time.

I have danced competitively for around 8 years total, I previously trained with Paul and Paulene Taylor, Margaret Redmond and Kieran Kelly.

At last competitions I was competing at Intermediate level on the Open Competition Circuit where I have was placing in the finals. Prior to moving up to Intermediate level, we were competing at Beginner / Novice level where I won at Champions of Tomorrow 2015 (Ballroom) and placed 4th in the Latin. We also placed in both Ballroom and Latin at Stars of the Future 2015.

I have recently taken a break due to partner unavailability and work commitments.

Due to my partner no longer wishing to compete I am currently looking for a new partner.

I am a dedicated, enthusiastic dancer, I work hard but I have fun with it!

Willing to either dance in competitions or social dancing as currently not competing but would be willing to get back into it.

I would be willing to specialise in either ballroom or latin for the right partner, however ideally i would like to do both.

I would also be willing to teacher share if you would want to continue to train with your teacher.

As a regular ballroom dancer, I would like to share my three ideas with you: acknowledgement, motivation and basics.

You want to acknowledge that ballroom dance is not social dance; the purpose you are going to meet a potential partner is dance instead of social.

Motivation is the essential. If you are interested, definitely you are or will be doing well. We can learn together and inspire each other.

Though the experience is not crucial, I also have been a beginner, you want to have some ideas of basics. It will make you easier to enjoy the free diving in the music, to develop your body to create a moving sculpture, and to feel the pleasure of your inner running strength without manual labor.

I love to dance and try to do so at least 2-3 times a week. I have done numerous competitions and performances. Like to work on routines especially argentine tango. I also enjoy Rythm & American smooth. Level - silver Pro-Am. Being mature does not limit my abilities.
