I teach horseback riding and train horses for a living. My dancing is a way to get out of the dust and enjoy the music and socialize. I can't always get out to the group classes or dances and would love a regular partner to practice with or go out to dances with.

I started salsa for a laugh 6 years ago and ended up loving it :)

I now go 4 times a week learning cross body and Cuban salsa.

I'm also learning Bachata, kizomba and zouk as well.

I would love to get to a high standard and perform and open my own club 1 day.

I took ballroom lesson for my PE courses in college, but I really started to get serious about dancing in 2008. I prefer to get as much floor time as possible, so I rarely sit out a dance. I am passionate about learning more styles and routines. I currently take 6 to 8 hours of private lessons per week, and this can become more when I am working on competition or showcase dances. Generally, my goal is to dance social ballroom or c/w or swing or salsa every weekend as I bring all of my dances to a competitive level. I now compete in ballroom and C/W. I am at the stage where I am in need of a dance partner who can continue this progress and level of dance of fun with me, and who also has a passion for dancing. To me dancing is just about the ultimate sensual experience that two people can have while being in sync with music. This last year, I have narrowed the focus of my passions, namely: work; learning to dance with grace, finesse, technique, and passion; learning more martial arts forms; learning to play the piano; and enjoying travel. Dancing fits in very well with this focus of mine. After ten years with modern jive I progressed to ballroom and latin. I've now got ten years of ballroom and latin under my belt with the last three years including Sunday League competitions.

I really enjoy partner dancing. Since 2020 have gotten a bit rusty, would like to get back to some regular practice sessions and social dances. I have taken some private lessons, but generally go to group classes.. Some of my favorite dances are East Coast Swing, ChaCha, Rumba, waltz, foxtrot (definitely need to get the rust off this one). My background includes coaching competitive university dance teams, choreographing for professional dance companies, and teaching in nightclubs, dance studios, on international dance cruises, and at major dance events.

I'm a newbie dancer interested in a dance partner to learn and practice latin club dances including salsa, bachata, merengue, cumbia. Most knowledge of salsa. Primary experience is following and interested in learning to lead. I lead a physically active lifestyle with weight training, regular cardiovascular exercise, regular hiking.
