Looking for someone to enjoy dancing on a social level

I am new in San Marcos, are there any places to dance near here? I used to teach Ballroom, Swing (East and West Coast)and Salsa. Perhaps I'll see you while I am out dancing - I always like to dance fancy steps, because they are more fun, and I don't want to dance like a clone - just marching or walking around the floor; however, if my partner is a beginner I can dance using more basic steps. I always wear a cool hat when I come and go as it keeps my head warm. Also, I am allergic to cats and don't have the time that other pets need - especially dogs, dogs are nice but require a lot of time and attention - I don't want to be cruel, so I have no pets.

Having taken private and group lessons in WCS, Blues, Shag, ECS and Lindy, I'm now hoping to find a consistent dance partner for lessons, practice/social dancing, events and eventually competitions.

I started dancing with a ballroom dancing show company when I was 16 and taught social dance and trained other dancers in the company for about 12 years. I then joined an independent competitive studio and learned how to teach and dance competitively. I worked as an amateur teacher for about 7 years before I stopped due to a move out of the area.

Professional hard worker who has just found West Coast Swing. Country Western is also fun. Favorite music is blues, CW and southern rock like ZZ tops and Doobie Brothers.

I have danced competitively for three years with the MIT Ballroom Dance Team and have competed last in Standard pre-champ and Latin Gold. In addition, I occasionally have done pick-up Smooth on the Silver. Due to job related relocations, I was not able to dance for years, but am now back on the floor. I enjoy practicing, competing, and improving. Next to focusing on technique, I like to work on the character of each dance.

I loveto dance; and watch

all the old hollywood musicals, also love to sing, sinatra, broadway etc.

I do alot of sports in the summer, namely boating, skating, and cycling.

I attend many outdoor venues, to dance concerts, etc;

I love to travel, cookout, and attend some high level parties, when possible;

I want to meet someone, who is into all these things, plus the gym, and is a big kid like me, that loves to explore life, and new adventures

I have always wanted to learn several different types of dancing. My partners have never been interesred. If you would like to learn with me and we could be amateur partners together, great! Learning club salsa for fun.

I have always longed to learn to be able dance. I have always admired people that dance with grace and skill. I have often felt clumsy and self-conscience at social events because I was unable to dance. Part of my obstacle is that I have never had a partner that was interested in learning to dance or had the same desire to dance that I have.

I have taken a handful of country swing classes and truly love it, but do not have a consistent partner.

Just a man looking to dance and have a good time.I am excellent at breaking down steps and working to improve dancers,adding that extra touch to stand out on the dance floor. Gold and gold bar teacher at major studio in southern California.

Over the years created a system of teaching the major ballroom dances by interrelating steps of dances to make easy learning.Then adding personal style to ones dancing.Still work with small groups,but mostly retired from full time teaching.I have fun dancing and meeting people.Some travel,getting back to going to dance events.I will help judge sometimes but not as much anymore.I have never stopped learning new techniques and truly believe dancing keeps you young and healthy.

I'm a dance professional who now wants to compete in Rising Star in the ballroom arena in Rhythm, Smooth or Theatre Arts, but also willing compete in the Salsa Circuit (World Latin Cup & Salsa Summit) environment as well.

I consider myself an Intermediate level dancer. I enjoy practicing to improve my leader and partner skills. I've been told I am a very good leader, (you be the judge, lol). I like foxtrot, waltz, cha-cha, hustle, rumba, bolaro, quickstep, tango, salsa, Viennese waltz, and West Coast swing, but open to all types of dance. I'd like to practice twice a week for about 2 hours. I am retired and my schedule has flexibility.

I danced a bit of hip hop growing up and was always surrounded by dancers. But it wasnt till 5 years ago that a friend showed me a basic rumba step and i was hooked i have been dancing on and off since then.

I had the privilege of performing this year and loved it. My goal in the next 2 years is to get paid to perform on stage and for that i need to practice. I love fusion partner dance and im particularly drawn to to micro movements of kisomba and the footwork of salsa. Of this list i am most experienced in bachata salsa and kisomba. I would love to set a goal with you and work towards it
