My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I'm searching for women who might be able to dance in Kingston or Pine Bush in Ulster county, at a number of places in Dutchess, Putnam, or northern Westchester e. g. Mount Kisco, or in Danbury. I picked those locations because I know of monthly mixed ballroom events there.

I started ballroom lessons earlier this year and plan to continue practicing and improving at social dancing. I would love to have a regular partner/s for practice and social dancing. I have done (and taught) country line dancing and patterned country partner dances (like Wooden Nickel, Sidekick, Horseshoe Shuffle) for years.

A dancer across multiple styles that walks and weight trains as part of being physically fit. There are other exercise activities that I’ve done, and would like to find someone who might be interested in sharing a few of them occasionally. Regarding the 1 hour of practice four per week listed on my profile, that is at least 2 group lessons, 1 private, and 1 practice at a minimum. I've competed and performed, open to such again, and open to taking lessons together, yet flexible on all of those.

I was a ballroom instructor for 15 years. No longer an instructor, I now enjoy social dancing for fun and excitement. I most enjoy the smooth or standard dances for their flow of movement.

Ballroom dance is my hobby. And I am a keen amateur. I like to learn the dance in an efficient way and emphasize the importance of fundamental skills yet with the best expression of musical characteristics of each dance. I am pretty athletic and fit. I love to dance (perhaps obvious since I'm on this site). Taking lessons 2+ years with outstanding teachers. I've done only ballroom smooth and rhythm so far. Am loving all of it. I have gone to some socials which are fun. But would really love a great practice partner. I have over 30 years experience of ballroom and Latin dancing. Back in the late 1990s I did compete in a few competitions and we did quite well. Our dance teacher then died and we stopped. My last dance partner has now entered a serious relationship with someone and is not free to go dancing.

I was a professional ballet dancer for several years, and when I "retired" due to an injury, I began ballroom dancing around 2012. For the past several years I have been competing pro-am smooth at open level, a few competitions per year. (I also did Latin and standard many years ago and would be interested in picking them back up, especially standard.) I currently dance at Ballroom Village in Loudon County, VA and have done coachings through that studio and through dance camps across the country.

I am looking for a dance partner to do social dances with, and maybe spend some time working out some routines together.

I used to dance frequently but my dancing has lapsed a little since my wife / partner died a few years ago.

Have danced a fair amount recently but looking for a regular dance partner to connect with and to be able to enjoy the dancing fully and to in its entirety.

Contemporary dancer by education. Some experience in zouk, bachata, and ballroom. In addition to the dance degree, I have a master degree in sports psychology and coaching, and I am a personal trainer. Since age 15, I’ve been teaching groups and individuals at all levels in a variety of sports and movement disciplines, yoga, and meditation. I’ve been an actor at the National Theatre. I am now part of a contact impro dance ensemble. My dream is to create sensual duets, rooted in deep listening. I would love to combine different dance styles, like contemporary and zouk. I want to explore and find our unique flow, create a nurturing partnership, and for us to have a life style where we thrive and dance is the essence of it all. Regarding language, I am fluent in Norwegian and English. I used to speak Portuguese when I lived in Brazil, so I can probably relearn that quite quickly, and I am open to learning Spanish and French as well (I know some of the basics).

I started taking weekly bachata and salsa dance since August and have started attending social events twice a month. I practice by myself several times a week; but, it doesn't translate well without a partner.

I am currently at a beginner bronze level in the Arthur Murray syllabus in American smooth and rhythm. I have competed at several Arthur Murray events including two dance o ramas. I am interested in continuing the American styles along with learning international as well. I would also like to expand my skills to west coast swing, argentine tango, and zouk.
