I have been dancing for 25 years and teaching social ballroom dancing on land and on cruise ships for 15 years. I am semi-retired/real estate investor who feels comfortable to take as much time off and enjoy life with someone special. Ballroom dancing will always be my favorite activity, but I also enjoy traveling, cruising, hiking, biking, swimming, tennis, ping pong, cooking, baking, and real estate investments.

I am a college student, and am going to graduate this summer - so I am willing to move to anywhere. I am on a dance team, and have been dancing for about 4 years. Really like to compete! I am hard working and ambitious. I am currently about silver/gold level.

I've been dancing as long as I can remember and enjoy dancing very much. Every dance from Tap to Belly dancing. All Ballroom dance.

Started with social dancing, entered two competitions, did a few shows too. Reentered recently for training for amateur competition after a break, and still doing a little social dancing.

Beginner but very willing to learn

I began dancing and competing in ballroom at the age of ten, I have mainly studied American Smooth and Rhythm, but I do know some Ballroom and Latin. I have national and world titles in American rhythm and nine dance, and I am a national finalist in smooth. I am currently competing in Pro/am Open gold, and would like to start a professional career in the next year or so with the right partner.

I'm nearing the end of my first year of regular dance lessons. I'm learning waltz, tango, fox trot, cha-cha, and WCS. Soon to start on V-Waltz. I do not have a regular dance partner and I think having a regular partner would help my progress. I'm seeking a dance partner of similar age and dance experience (or someone who is willing to tolerate an earnest beginner).

I am taking group classes at a studio and attending socials. Looking to practise outside of these enviroments to improve more quickly.

I am an independent dance instructor who is also actively competing in Professional Rising Star and Open American Smooth. I previously competed in Rising Star American Rhythm. I am seeking a partner to compete in American Rhythm again. I am also open to competing in International Standard and Theatre Arts.

I've always practiced movement arts and have focussed on dance for the last decade. My journey so far: Tai kwon Do, wind surfing, Karate, soccer, aikido, yoga, capoeira, tango, blues, lindy hop, salsa, batchata, argentine tango, cuban salsa rueda, kizomba and finally brazilian zouk and lambada.

I have recently started learning to lead, so although I dance mostly as a follower, I am mainly here to seek out a follower with whom to practice as a leader. Learning to lead is fun, and I believe it has the added benefit of making me a better follower. Since I am still a "beginner" as a leader, I would be a good partner for a a beginner lady - or for a man who wants to learn to follow. But unlike most beginner dancers, I already have a solid frame, a firm-yet-elastic connection, lightness on my feet, a precise grasp of musical timing, and proficiency in basic technique.

Dances I am best at leading are: American Smooth waltz, foxtrot, and Viennese waltz; International Latin paso doble; and social dances merengue and polka. But I would like to learn to lead other dances. If we practice together for a bit and find that we are having fun, get along, and learn well together, we could even try performing in a showcase. I have already performed in one showcase as a leader, dancing paso doble with a female friend, and we had a blast.

Regarding my proficiency and experience levels: The largest percentage of my training is in International Standard (as a follower - at open gold level in waltz and foxtrot, and at gold level in the rest), but I am familiar with all styles of ballroom dance: standard, latin, rhythm, smooth, as well as various styles of swing and other social dances. If you want to me to estimate my proficiency level (as a leader or as a follower) for a particular dance, just ask - or better yet - meet me on the social dance floor. I go out social dancing 3-4 times per month, so it's not hard to meet up with me in a social dance setting.

Six years of experience mostly American style ballroom. Very active social dancer. Dance instructor helper and ringer. Participant in various showcases as per my instructor request. Regarded as a very good dancer. I practice by myself at least 5 days a week not less that 30 minutes. Love music, and depending on it, can be very expressive. I take at least 6 lessons of different dances per week.

Love dancing and haven't kept up with it or this site like I've wanted to. I still want to try new styles of dance and check out great places to dance in and around Chicago. Now several years from when I first started here, I can say I have met some fun people and would like to try the site again. I started a long while back and it seems people aren't really on this site like before.

I would love to dance in competitions if possible (one day). I have some formal dance experience (2 years on dance team, 4/5 college dance classes <jazz/modern/a bit of ballet>, and one summer of ballroom lessons) and a good amount of club dancing & Zumba experience. It's been a while, but I may take lessons again when I can make the time.

I love to dance salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbias, Norteñas and other regional Mexican dances (think quebraditas). I would love to dance jive and tango, and would LOVE to be able to flip around in swing/lindy. I'm currently working out and training to learn to run. I imagine once I do start incorporating dance again, the weight I want to lose will come off more quickly. Dancing is something I really want to get back into. I've still got the moves, and just need to get out more!

Started Country Western in 1995 in Denver. I still enjoy that as well Swing, Hustle, Cha Cha, Bachata and a bit of Rumba. I am open to learning other dances as well.

I'm waiting for the amateur, beginner or champion level, and professional man for the dance competitions / International ST and LA dances at first, but I'm dancing and teaching the American Ballroom as well.

I'm European - from Philadelphia , now from Richmond VA as well,- and I know the clean English style, but my favorite is the newest Italian method can dance this and I can teach this.
