Open standard dancer

Every time I go to a dance or dance lesson, I come back happy and refreshed. This is why I would like to find a dancing partner to dance regularly with. My favorite dances are Argentine tango and waltz, but I have tried many other dances and like them all (one exception is perhaps contra; I like it every once in a while, but not regularly). I consider myself a beginner-intermediate. I would like to dance regularly and improve (I learn quickly), but it is difficult without a partner. I was born and raised in Italy. I have lived in the US for the last 25 years.

Look to strengthen my lead, and get enough practice get over the hump of forgetting dance moves on the floor

Looking for dance partner/leader for social ballroom classes and/or private lessons and events in and around the West Yorkshire area. I've been dancing around 20 years (West Coast Swing, Blue's, Jive etc.) but only ballroom dancing for around 12 months, but I love it and would like a partner to continue learning and dancing.

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I'm searching for women who might be able to dance in Kingston or Pine Bush in Ulster county, at a number of places in Dutchess, Putnam, or northern Westchester e. g. Mount Kisco, or in Danbury. I picked those locations because I know of monthly mixed ballroom events there.

I am a social dancer trying to improve.

I'm VERY confident leading rumba, east coast swing, hustle, and American tango.

I probably don't bore my followers dancing American waltz, fox trot, west coast swing, and cha-cha.

I'm 'working on' samba, salsa, merengue, and bachata.

I would like to learn Viennese waltz.

I admire people who dance Argentine tango and Paso Doble.

Through some difficult and painful life lessons I am preparing to be better at life as a whole and I feel like a champion when I practice dancing(even though I haven't arrived at any medals, etc. yet). My desires are to learn to love all people, to get up after falling and hopefully learn from those experience(s) and finally to improve on the best I can be, while hopefully learning to listen to the genuine wisdom of others to blend with my own to build a better life.

To keep it short I have many interests and yes, I am willing to adapt to new ones within reason....except hard rock and heavy rap music. I am generally a quiet guy but in the right atmosphere can be quite lively and entertaining.

Another thing that I forgot to mention is that I am learning not just to enjoy events, outings, just being quiet, fun times, etc..........but, the most important point is that I am learning to treasure each moment that I am with that special someone and not take time and life and her for granted. ...... .... There is a saying that I learned sometime ago: "The only moment that we have is the moment that we are in" so, "What existed a moment ago has gone" and "will we be here in a moment from now?" Have you ever heard of the song "Love is a wonderful thing" an upbeat song sung by Michael Bolton? Love can be a super wonderful thing!...unless things get messed up then, it's very painful until healing takes place and all is sorted out.....Just some deep thoughts I wanted to share and hopefully help you out. I have been dancing ballroom and latin on and off for about 20 years but did not have a regular partner until 2019 and our progress was interrupted by covid restrictions. Unfortunately a foot injury now means my partner can no longer dance. I would say I am a proficient social dancer in ballroom and latin. I have been dancing modern jive for about twenty years and I am very good at it but go regularly to the same venue so do not need a partner for this but am very willing to int0rduce a potential partner.

Hi - I started dancing classes in January 2018 for a few terms, and post Covid I started again in 2020 - but its been somewhat sporadic, due to the need to find a dance partner and fit in classes.

I am a beginner looking to learn a range of dance styles - ballroom and Latin - and have fun learning.

I am happily married - but my wife isn’t interested in dancing, hence the search for a dance partner.

I'm currently learning International Style Standard and Latin dances and been completing in both of those as a silver level pro/am couple. I have also completed in American Style Smooth and Rhythm dances at the Gold level as pro/am. In my spare time, I do a lot of social dancing in Country & Western, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Salsa, Lindy, Argentina Tango, Modern and a few others.

I am taking private and group lessons at difference place around the DC area. I have been told that I have an excellence lead and form, dance floor present and craft, and rapid learner. I'm constantly learning and trying new material in order to give my dancing more dazzle to include tinkling with lifts and drops.

I was a ballroom instructor for 15 years. No longer an instructor, I now enjoy social dancing for fun and excitement. I most enjoy the smooth or standard dances for their flow of movement.

She danced with her brother Art in a lot of the big cities in the United States, But mostly in New York. When I was a senior in High School, I was voted best dancer for the yearbook. After college, I got a job at Arthur Murray's dance school. I taught at the Arthur Murray's in Wayne PA., Narberth PA. and Wilmington DE. Today I have my own dance business.

Ballet, Jazz, and Ballroom/Latin trained, over many years. Most recently was performing and competing on the West Coast in American Smooth and Rhythm, Theater Arts, and Jazz as part of a company. Back in 1999, I started taking ballroom dancing lessons, for about 6 years. Unfortunately, I had some rough years in my life and I couldn't continue, at least with private lessons (I continued to attend parties and group classes occasionally. However, I started taking lessons again about a year ago and have been since. My favorite dances are east coast swing, lindy hop, hustle, as well as others like the salsa, mambo, merengue, cha-cha, waltz, tango. Lately, I'm learning more about the west coast swing, and have found a secondary dance teacher for the Lindy Hop where I take private lessons from her.

Over the years created a system of teaching the major ballroom dances by interrelating steps of dances to make easy learning.Then adding personal style to ones dancing.Still work with small groups,but mostly retired from full time teaching.I have fun dancing and meeting people.Some travel,getting back to going to dance events.I will help judge sometimes but not as much anymore.I have never stopped learning new techniques and truly believe dancing keeps you young and healthy.
