Started Shag Dancing 1993, collect Beach Music.

10-dancer of about 14 years. Recently moved to the Austin (TX) area from New York City. Looking to get back into the competitive dance scene. My recent trainers are Ina Jeliazkova, Olga Tsikalyuk, Frantseska Yordanova, to name a few.

I just start ballroom dancing since July 1st, 2023, and love it. I attended some beginner group lessons, but still don’t know much. I would love to practice my dance skills and be a better follower.

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I'm searching for women who might be able to dance in Kingston or Pine Bush in Ulster county, at a number of places in Dutchess, Putnam, or northern Westchester e. g. Mount Kisco, or in Danbury. I picked those locations because I know of monthly mixed ballroom events there.

I'm VERY confident leading rumba, east coast swing, hustle, and American tango.

I probably don't bore my followers dancing American waltz, fox trot, west coast swing, and cha-cha.

I'm 'working on' samba, salsa, merengue, and bachata.

I would like to learn Viennese waltz.

I admire people who dance Argentine tango and Paso Doble.

I have always longed to learn to be able dance. I have always admired people that dance with grace and skill. I have often felt clumsy and self-conscience at social events because I was unable to dance. Part of my obstacle is that I have never had a partner that was interested in learning to dance or had the same desire to dance that I have.

I'm a dance professional who now wants to compete in Rising Star in the ballroom arena in Rhythm, Smooth or Theatre Arts, but also willing compete in the Salsa Circuit (World Latin Cup & Salsa Summit) environment as well.

I consider myself an Intermediate level dancer. I enjoy practicing to improve my leader and partner skills. I've been told I am a very good leader, (you be the judge, lol). I danced a bit of hip hop growing up and was always surrounded by dancers. But it wasnt till 5 years ago that a friend showed me a basic rumba step and i was hooked i have been dancing on and off since then.

I had the privilege of performing this year and loved it. My goal in the next 2 years is to get paid to perform on stage and for that i need to practice. I love fusion partner dance and im particularly drawn to to micro movements of kisomba and the footwork of salsa. Of this list i am most experienced in bachata salsa and kisomba. Secondary Focus: Latin American (Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba).

Current Training: I maintain a rigorous training schedule with 2 private coaching sessions per week. I focus heavily on top-line posture, fluidity of movement, and musicality.

Style: I am known for being a responsive follower with a strong frame, adaptable to various leading styles while maintaining a sophisticated silhouette on the floor.

I competed for many years in International Standard. My former partner recently decided to retire from practicing or competing in Standard and I'm looking for a new partner for practice and, perhaps, competition.

Did ballroom lessons during high school in guyana. We did mostly waltz and cha cha. I am open to learning related dance forms. I haven't danced in years because I haven't found a passionate dance partner or social events around. I miss that part of me and need someone willing to help me reconnect.
