Standard and latin, competitive

So, who says that a woman can't find a man who really loves to dance? Here I am! If there is a woman out there who is seeking a dedicated social dance partner with determination to advance, then look no further! To excel at any one endeavor, I feel like you have to specialize and dance is what I've chosen for that purpose. While always striving to keep dancing fun, I do take it seriously and I have the ambition to work at being the best that I can be. I believe that a serious dancer progresses better and more rapidly by having a steady partner. In addition to my motivation and enthusiasm, it is my appreciation for and my loyalty and devotion to my partner and the way that I express it that sets me apart from others. While I am confident that I'm a good social dancer right now, I know that I still have a long ways to go. I've been dancing a long time, but I still want to learn and I am willing to practice. I'm particularly interested in doing more with hustle, west coast swing and salsa/mambo. I am open to learning new dances. It would be wonderful to find someone who can put a lot of time into dance, but I don't have specific requirements about any set amount of days or hours per week. I'm flexible in terms of whether I am either the more experienced dancer or at a lesser skill level than my partner (I am receptive to being coached/trained if my partner has the background and interest in doing so). When not dancing, I enjoy roller coasters, water slides, going to sporting events and playing pickleball. Being retired, I'd like to go on cruises with a companion, particularly cruises that include social dancing .Please note that I'm not a paid up full member, so I can't respond to greetings.

I've been dancing off and on for about 15 years now, with a large gap into the middle. I get the most enjoyment out of learning new steps/patterns and am trying to find someone willing/capable to develop with and potentially go to various local venues/events.

I started dancing when I was three — tap, ballet, and jazz — and I fell in love with ballroom at age twenty while training at Fred Astaire Dance Studios. I come to the Twin Cities one to two times a month and always enjoy an evening at places like the Blues Saloon or the VFW. I’m not interested in competition or performing; I’m simply looking for a partner who enjoys sharing an evening of dancing, good conversation, and connection.

Apart from having lessons in my teens, I haven't danced much until 5 years ago when I began having lessons again. I enjoy ballroom, sequence, jive and would give anything a try.

I have been taking dance lessons for 3 years now. I love the social aspect and challenge of the sport. I am open to learning all styles of dance. My favorite so far are salsa, east coast, west coast, and nightclub two step. My goals in dance are to become an overall better dancer and more confident. I work hard and always try my best to put into practice what I learn. Most of all I aim to have fun.

Newly divorced, semi-retired, active on the modern jive freestyle circuit and competing in the ballroom Sunday League with some success.

I took up ballroom dancing around 8 years ago, and had a regular partner for around 4 years.

For most of this time I've had weekly lessons at a local dance school in Kendal during which I worked towards the medal examinations each year. In 2016 I achieved gold in Ballroom and silver in Argentine Tango, and in 2017 gold in Latin and gold in Argentine Tango.

I also go to whatever other classes are available, Argentine Tango about twice a month with the odd workshop, also occasional salsa classes and modern jive. I enjoy the discipline of ballroom and latin dances, and the freedom and expression of the Argentine Tango. I enjoy interpreting music in movement and when the music is playing I never seem to tire and will be on the floor all night.

After this my dance school closed and I have a lot less opportunities for dancing. I am therefore considering travelling further afield. The Blackpool Tower is just over an hour's drive and would be a good location for potential try-outs.

Having been dancing Salsa for couple of years now. Recently started to learn Bachata and other Latin and Ballroom dances.

Grew up dancing in Russia. 10 dances. Currently competing in American Rhythm. But want to get back also to Standard. I own a successful dance studio in Atlanta so I can't relocate.

I have been dancing ballroom and latin on and off for about 20 years but did not have a regular partner until 2019 and our progress was interrupted by covid restrictions. Unfortunately a foot injury now means my partner can no longer dance. I would say I am a proficient social dancer in ballroom and latin. I have been dancing modern jive for about twenty years and I am very good at it but go regularly to the same venue so do not need a partner for this but am very willing to int0rduce a potential partner.

I have been dancing for two years and going to a dance studio around 10 hours a week. I love ballroom dancing, smooth and swing, although I dance some of the Latin dances as well I have recently been at a South Florida dance competition where I was awarded first price for a solo dance with one of my instructors and several other awards for American Walt and tango, foxtrot and vienesse waltz. I am very active and love dancing and having fun.

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I'm searching for women who might be able to dance in Kingston or Pine Bush in Ulster county, at a number of places in Dutchess, Putnam, or northern Westchester e. g. Mount Kisco, or in Danbury. I picked those locations because I know of monthly mixed ballroom events there.

Hi I've been doing ballroom dancing on and off since childhood but never found a regular partner. It's difficult to say my level - it varies according to the dance! I am generally somewhere between bronze and silver I think. I've recently started learning sequence dances as a way to keep dancing though I would love to do more freestyle. Happy to try other styles of dance too.

Started Oct 24. Using my free time to dance (at least 3 times a week). Focus is on international Latin. Had my first comp as student-student in Jun 26.

Over the years created a system of teaching the major ballroom dances by interrelating steps of dances to make easy learning.Then adding personal style to ones dancing.Still work with small groups,but mostly retired from full time teaching.I have fun dancing and meeting people.Some travel,getting back to going to dance events.I will help judge sometimes but not as much anymore.I have never stopped learning new techniques and truly believe dancing keeps you young and healthy.
