I have been dancing since she was three years-old. I have trained in various dance studios while finding my path in dance and continue to train in many styles including ballet, pointe, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, flamenco, ballroom, and hip hop. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to travel to various cities including Los Angeles, to perform with Emmy Award Winning choreographers like Travis Wall. I have also performed in two Disney World parades and in Royal Caribbean. After highschool, I completed an associates in the Fine Arts from New World School of the Arts, and is now pursuing a bachelors in Exercise Science. I have been training in ballroom since I was 10 years old, but after completing my associates in the fine Arts, I recently developed a stronger passion for latin ballroom dancing and I am now training with my coaches Ivan Mulyavka and Karin Rooba, one of the top 15 Latin ballroom dancers in the nation, and my goal is to become a professional Latin Ballroom dancer. I am very passionate about Latin ballroom I train 6 days a week and I am very determined to reach my goals!

As my best friend said, I used to be a classical dancer. I'm in a twelve step program now. If it involves dance I have probably done it. My style is more social than competition, but I do have a competitive streak. Dance should be fun. I occasionally run sound for music events and I like dancing with live music whenever I can.

I created and performed the featured duo, “Body2body” for Cirque du Soleil’s Zumanity (Las Vegas), and I’m intending to reconstruct and build new material of that nature. To that end, I’m seeking a female partner for this fusion of acrobatic/counterbalancing and dance. She should be a charismatic performer who could be a rhythmic gymnast, contortionist, dancer and/or acrobat.

I'm a world-class acrobat, dancer and aerial artist. I created and performed the principle duo “body2body” in over 1000 shows for Cirque du Soleil’s Las Vegas production, Zumanity. As a 10 year veteran and featured member of Anti-Gravity, I appeared in such esteemed venues as: The Metropolitan Opera House, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall for MTV's Video Music Awards, as well as performing nightly at the award ceremonies of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. I'm proud to have been a featured entertainer at special events for George Lucas, Richard Branson, George Soros, and Paul Newman. I received my degree in fine arts (painting & drawing) from Tyler School of Art while competing as an elite gymnast for Temple University in Philadelphia. I went on to develop as a dancer, studying ballet, modern and urban freestyle. With the addition of varied circus skills and martial arts, I naturally began to fuse an artistic amalgam. My creative recipe for the stage has included awe-inspiring skills with fluid phrasing and emotive story telling. As the subject for artworks, I collaborate with high-profile fine artists in photography and sculpture. My first hardcover monograph is slated for publication in 2011. In addition to performing, I teach creative workshops for dancers and variety artists. I currently reside in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Recently, I watched Nyle DiMarco, a deaf dancer, win Dancing with the Stars, and just watching him made me decide to finally surrender to structured dance and master and compete in ballroom. I am a fast learner, and, at age 71, I am a captivating demonstration of ageless beauty and eros. Dance is the one thing I long for much more of in life. Nothing makes me happier. And if you are young, don't be deterred. Most of the people in my world are in their 30's and when we do dance, we make a great sight!

I have danced most of my life since college, dabbling in HipHop, Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Various Ballroom. I have great rhythm and know how to move with some elegance. I am a quick study but do not have a lot of ongoing Ballroom experience so I would need a patient person to let me figure things out a long the way.

Looking at the Dance Proficiency section has me confused. I think I'm more than a beginner, but the competitions I've been in I have competed Bronze. That's what I dance mostly, though I do know a few Silver patterns. But the reality of a crowded dance floor and a different partner every dance limit what I can do.

I've marked both the dances I currently do, and some I'd like to learn. Currently, I dance mostly American Smooth and Rhythm, plus some Country, and am learning QuickStep. International interests me, especially Standard, but I need the right partner. I'd like to learn Lindy, maybe Argentine Tango at some point, but again, the right partner is key.

I'm primarily a social dancer, but would like to meet a regular partner to practice with. I enjoy pushing myself to learn new things, and a regular partner could help that along.

If I find the right partner, I might be interested in competition, I've done some in the past, actually kind of enjoyed the Arthur Murray Showcases when I was taking lessons there. They promote the competitions as a way for social dancers to focus their lessons and give them some urgency, and they actually organize their events for people like that. Most importantly, they finish the events with a dinner dance, which gives me something to look forward to and a reward for spending a day when I should be hiking or biking or skiing or snowshoeing inside in a crowded, noisy room.

The place I take lessons at now has much better instructors, and they sell the competitions the same way, but the organizers do absolutely nothing to appeal to someone who is a social dancer and wants to focus their lessons.

The dances I like most are Viennese, slow Waltz, Bolero, Night-Club 2-Step, Country (especially triple-2-step), EC Swing, Rhumba. I'd like to get better at all of them, plus polka, bachatta, WC Swing, maybe Lindy and/or Argentine Tango.

Dancing is only one activity I enjoy. I'm mostly an outdoors kind of guy, and very self-sufficient in most ways. I'm also pretty introverted, although that surprises people. Probably since I've been in jobs where I have been in front of people. I can function in a social space, but sometimes it's hard. Former jobs include Wine Steward at several top area restaurants (that was the best of them). Now I stare at "glowing rectangles" (computer screens) way too much every day. Money's better, but other than that....

I started with ballroom dancing in mid-2016, and moved to (mostly) Argentine Tango in early 2017. My love of Tango has grown steadily since then. Before the pandemic, I had private lessons weekly and studied/danced Tango an average of one hour daily. I am beginning to dance with partners again now that other vaccinated dancers are more readily available.

Hello, you can call me Riah for now. I am a 20 year old Acrobat, Contortionist, and Aerialist who has been taking Acrobatic Arts classes for 5 years and Aerial Silks classes for 2 years. I even taught a level 1-2 Acrobatics class for 2 years and it was one of my favorite jobs. I have been out of the swing of things since Covid, which has weakened my back and most importantly irritated my sciatic nerve. I would like to get back in shape with a partner by my side and specialize in Acrobatic Dance. (Though I am open to trying anything. I LOVE ballet and contemporary, I just have never been formally trained.) I still have my splits, can still climb my silks, and overall am still in decent shape, so it won't take long for me to get back in the swing of things.

I started many years ago at Arthur Murray and learned many of their basic dances - waltz and rumba being my favorites. It being the era, I moved into the discotheques and did some low level competition. Although my husband and I did a lot of dancing, once we were married he was no longer interested. I would like to start again - I have missed it.
