I've been dancing since '97, but had a long break in the middle. I'm not sure how this site will work out, and even less sure about what I'll be able to do, dance-wise, as things are always changing in my life. I'm in the Fishers, Indiana area right now, and have a contract through November of this year. Because I'm on a contract, it can end at any time, and this particular one has a definite end-date late this year. Where I'll be after that is a total unknown. I am a totally fun loving, loyal and generally a happy person. I had the honour to be part of Sham Rock, a band which made the top 20 in the UK charts for 5 weeks in 1998 with Tell Me Ma. That was a long time ago. I've done Line/street dancing for ten years and didn't do too badly in the Worlds Championships which was held in the US this Millennium.

Last year (2008), I had a crash course in Ballroom (i.e. a 8 week course) and loved it. I still do line dancing which is not that sad -certainly no Yeehahs or fingers in belts. I guess there are some older style venues but my dance club ranges from waltz one minute to funky the next with music usually played on 2-Ten FM or Kiss FM before 8pm. At the end of the last quarter of 2007, I tried Salsa with work colleagues. This was great fun but one by one the enthusiasm for them disappeared and I was last man standing.

I have been dancing (freestyle, I guess you'd call it) for years, taking lessons on and off. I want to get serious now and am looking for a partner who is passionate about dancing and might be interested in competing. I have been teaching Smooth, Standard, Rhythm, and Latin for close to three years (and hold professional certificates in American Style Smooth and Rhythm). I came into ballroom after completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Contemporary Dance in 2016. I am a hard worker, a voracious learner, and committed to my own growth as a dancer. I’m looking for a professional partner to compete in American Smooth (but I’m also open to working towards Standard) and to continue to learn, train, and grow together.

You want to acknowledge that ballroom dance is not social dance; the purpose you are going to meet a potential partner is dance instead of social.

Motivation is the essential. If you are interested, definitely you are or will be doing well. We can learn together and inspire each other.

Though the experience is not crucial, I also have been a beginner, you want to have some ideas of basics. It will make you easier to enjoy the free diving in the music, to develop your body to create a moving sculpture, and to feel the pleasure of your inner running strength without manual labor.
