I've dabbled in a variety of dance styles over the years: salsa, contra, swing, tap, etc. though never very seriously. Of all of them I'm probably most proficient in salsa (lived in South America for a couple years) but am by no means an expert in anything. Right now I'm most interested in learning swing, balboa, lindy, country two step--basically just social dancing. I'm not really interested in competing/performing. I find I learn a lot faster when I practice regularly and at my own pace as opposed to going to a class once a week - though it would be fun to go to classes as well. I think a decent, though inexperienced, lead with good rhythm :)

I'm an American, living in Switzerland for a while. I already dance Puerto Rican Style salsa but would like to improve Cuban Casino style salsa, since that is the main style danced here. I've taken some Cuban style classes here but feel progress would be better with a regular partner. Also, there are a lot of moves on youtube that would be cool to be able to do. I would like to pick a video, memorize it before meeting up, then work out all the issues beforehand. Finally, attending social dances with someone could be fun too.

WHat can I say I love dancing. I can truly say I spend more time dancing than anything else on a weekly basis. I enjoy the connection that you get from any partnership dance. That sensation of feeding off of your partners energy and then creating something more. It doesn't matter what dance you learn they are all related and will make you better, so i'm open for anything to become better.

Spent several years competitive dancing. I was on multiple formation teams and LOVED it. I have not danced competitively for several years, but would like to get back into dancing. I would like to have a dance partner who is serious about dancing, but also knows how to have a fun time while we are at practice and on the competition floor.

I am not formally trained in any type of dance but want to learn as much as I can in the areas of ballroom and Latin dance so that when there are social events I will have someone that enjoys dancing as much as I do. I am a quick learner!

I started dancing salsa about 3 years ago, because of the socials I learned Bachata and since this summer also Kizomba. Right now Kizomba is my passion hearing kizomba makes me want to dance it all the time.

BA/Journalism and Masters of Communication now working as a full-time novelist of Romantic Christian Fiction for a major publisher. I moonlight with Costco four nights a week and Sunday afternoons. Its enough income to have a comfortable life.

For my 56th birthday I gave myself a private dance lesson at Ever Dance in SW Arlington. Having worked West Texas markets of El Paso and Odessa/Midland in my teens to forties I admired those who were great C&W dancers in the clubs and events where I owned a mobile DJ company then and in the clubs where I had moonlighted in addition to broadcast media. I was a 'fair' club dancer picking up what I could and with several long term relationships in those years. Wanted to marry but most I knew in the 80s/90s were on career ladders as was I. Now in my 50s if I have made errors its not bee in establishing a shared life with a woman and enjoying both a friendship, long term relationship and marriage. So on my birthday I learned the basics of the Disco Hustle (I loved since the late 70s of that era) and some basic refresher and intermediate moves in the two step and country waltz.

I've been Country Dancing (2 step, waltz) since my late teens and line dancing in the 1990s but prefer dancing with a steady friend and relationship in dancing together. I'm not opposed to competing in dancing competitions but really prefer the social atmosphere and life of just enjoying lessons and dancing with each other. I will admit I've found lessons to be enjoyable in areas other than country or Disco such as: Ballroom Foxtrot, Tango, East and West Coast Swing, and surprised to enjoy Latin from Salsa to Bachata, Rumba and a few others. My favorites remain both Country and Ballroom. In experience I'd put myself somewhere between beginner to intermediate in some dances and intermediate to almost advance in Country. I love the variations in 2 step country though still learning to lead better and transition between moves. A steady partner would help tremendously as I will dance with others in classes but would prefer a steady great fit in the right woman.
