I started dancing with Fred Astaire and worked with them about a year, but eventually switched over to Arthur Murray. There was a 2 year break as a professional, but continued my social dancing with salsa, bachata, kizomba, and Argentine tango. My goal is to practice and develop my skills as well as compete, but I need a dance partner.

Since I am not dancing regularly the speed is low but it will be up once I start doing it regularly.

The happiest years of my life were spent disco dancing in New York City at Studio 54, Xenon, and other fabulous venues in the 80s.

Currently taking Argentine Tango classes. Hoping to find someone with whom I can practice things I am learning.

Btw...I travel a lot. Jan to March in Buenos Aires, Argentina; March to May in Philadelphia, PA; May to August in NYC; Month of Sept in Athens, Greece; Month of Oct in Tirana, Albania. The month of Nov in Lisbon, Portugal. The month of December in Malaga, Spain. In January, I will be back in NYC for a short visit before heading off for more travel adventures (my Tango dancing classes are not as frequent when traveling, but I hope to change that in 2026).

I dance mainly ballroom standard and Latin and New Vogue. I currently live in Queenstown travel a lot to Christchurch for dance tuition. Have had 12yrs experience in ballroom competitions. I have just competed in the 2025 NZ National Championships and retuned home with 2 off 1st, a 2nd and 3rd placing in Masters ProAm New Vogue. I plan to do more ProAm competitions and concentrate on improving my latin and ballroom.

I do like to have a laugh at classes but i do take the lessons seriously. I love to learn and improve my technique even though i had a knee replacement a year ago.. Pre Lockdown I was at a Silver / Gold level standard.

I have ban ballroom dancing since 2001 I fowned from the beginning that it's something that I love to do social and even did a cupola of show cases all though it has ban a will for the later.

I started ballroom dancing in grad school, where I competed for three years on MIT ballroom team. I've grown to love dancing as a way to relax, work out, and connect with people. I kept with it when I moved to California in 2017, where I got involved in the social ballroom scene and took standard classes with Stephen and Debbie Cullip. Since moving back to Massachusetts with my family, I've kept up with dancing regularly as a hobby.

Comp Ballroom, Rock n Roll experience but not danced for 15 yrs. Had some recent rock n Roll lessons but no partner.
