I want to learn basic ballroom dancing again and salsa review.

I have been going to tango lessons for 3 years.

I dance for exercise and social reasons.

I've been dancing for 8 years from the age of 6 till 14. I know it's been a while, but I've been meaning to go back to dancing again and now is the time. I grew up in Russia and was trained in International Standard and Latin (Latin has always been my favorite). I'm a little rusty and have forgotten a lot, but I feel, it's like a bicycle - once you learn - it always stays with you)

I'm Fred Astair trained and have done 2 regional competitions. Pictures taken in Jan 2011. I'm no longer in a studio but dance on the weekends, typically swing and cha-cha. I enjoy local bands such as Blue Stone Ivory, The Remains, Cold Smoke or Cincy Rockers.

I am a former professional ballet dancer. I now teach ballet, and choreograph.

love to dance, but also kayak and play bridge. way back in college days, I taught dancing and belonged to a dance team that did exhibitions. Hard to find good dancers these days, but haven't known where to look.

I have a bachelors degree in dance from the University of Wisconsin. I've been in the ballroom industry for 7 years. I currently live in Smithtown New York where I co-own a Fred Asatire Ballroom Dance Studio. My passion of ballroom is in the American Smooth division. I am a Fred Astaire rising star and open finalist in American Smooth. I would like to continue my training in smooth and compete around the country.

I am a divorced female with grown up children. I learnt to dance nearly 30 years ago by attending dance classes and going to social dances but stopped when I had children. I am currently having some private dance lessons and have been surprised at how quickly it is all coming back to me. Salsa is new to me but I like it. I like to keep active and I'm very sociable. I love laughing and have a wicked sense of humour!

Haven't had the opportunity to dance for many years now, but I'd love to get back into it. Both for the sake of dancing itself, and for the social aspect of it.

I have several hobbies, I am a bridge player,I enjoy studying languages,and I am also doing a job via the computer ,but most of all I love to dance,I have recently split up with my dancing partner unfortunately that is one of the hazards of dancing we were a good match but his temperament was difficult.I do hope to find a partner who is more placid.

10 years into argentine tango, a trip to argentina in 2012, i enjoy social dancing for the fun and pleasure of it. I live in Paris - France, and enjoy meeting visiting tango dancers from all over the world. I enjoy mostly the so called "traditionnal" tango (1900 - 1959) music, but also enjoy, in moderation, neo tango and even alternative tango music and dance. Tango is alive and perpetually evooving. As far as dancing style, i'm into the milonguero style close embrace, and also enjoy thorougly dancing the milonga! In fact i would dance milonga for hours!!!

Im a student whose learnt ballet to a high level and now teach ballet. I also have experience in choreography, contemporary, jazz, and lyrical (both teaching and dancing). I have access to a dance studio to practice. I have very limited experience with ballroom but would love to give it a try

Attend a dance studio

I love dancing and have danced some ballroom and Latin for fun in the past but did not have a dance partner to really get stuck in! I'd love to compete, or just dance for fun. Particularly love Latin. My parents and 3 brothers have danced Latin and ballroom for years and my brother regularly competes in competitions...I'd love to be up there competing alongside him! I'm very competitive and I'm willing to train hard as I'm passionate about dance. I have done years of ceroc dancing which you don't need a partner, but I love the technique that's required for ballroom and Latin. Ive also played musical instruments at Grade 8 standard since I was a child so I'm able to keep time and on beat easily.

Done a few beginner lessons in ballroom and Latin a few years ago but no longer with partner, but I feel I've learnt a lot from watching my brothers and dance tutorial videos over the years too!

I would like to return to dancing, performing, and teaching with an eye towards competing.

And brief history:

- 4 year varsity wrestler in high school (1998-2002)

- Hip-hop dancer and choreographer for Mahogany Dance Troupe (2002-2004)

- Trained in salsa and bachata (2004-2005)

- Founded the University Salsa Club and taught (2005-2006)

- Moved to Washington, DC. Began teaching salsa and bachata. (2006-2007)

- Relocated to New York City (2008-2010). Taught for Melanie LaPatin and Tony Meredith's studio 'Dance Times Square' in addition to Fred Astaire studios; performed in showcases with students in cha cha and rumba

- Looking to dance now in Roanoke, VA

I live in Pensacola, Fl. I have lived in Pensacola for about 8 years but I am originally from San Diego, California. In San Diego I danced to arabic,mexican and hip hop music. Last year in Pensacola, I was exposed to salsa, merengue and bachata. I had a dance partner that I met while taking a few salsa dance lessons at a dance studio. We would go dance at a salsa nightclub. Unfortunately, we lost touch with each other.
