Have been social dancing for 45 years

I started dancing at the age of 3, taking ballet, jazz, modern, and tap. I did a little bit of theater in college. After college, I learned country western dancing, swing, mostly on a social level. I had been gone from dancing for several years until the last few years. I started taking International Latin ballroom lessons and am part of an amateur performance group. I enjoy dancing and am interested in competing if the chance should arise. My simplest pleasure is just being able to enjoy each day, being positive about life. Also, our dance group is always looking for expand!!

My primary interest is social with a theatrical style (later at night when the crowd dies down). There is nothing more fun than this type of dancing, if you like movement. I have an extensive Repertoire of dance moves, lines and figures which are great fun to do, and I am ready to add to the list with further instruction. My principal interest is Smooth and standard, but I like Tango and WCS. Late night social dancing is great fun, inexpensive and you don't have to wear a ballgown.

Wants to learn to Irish Dance. My grandmother was Irish and I want to learn how to Irish dance in America or Europe. Can travel soon, I am just completing a BA degree in Social Science from UNLV (Las Vegas). I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and have visited Irish bars. I was an outstanding college football player but was injured and stopped playing.

I am a lively, petite brunette with long dark hair. I am very energetic with a zest for life and a passion for dancing. I really enjoy aerials and more complicated moves but find there are few men who are able to do these and available to dance with. I have done some ballroom but I have no regular partner I love the Cha Cha, Rumba Charleston and Fox Trot when my lead is good I also enjoy tennis and walking - ski-ing when I have the money to. I still have a long way to go before I can tackle more difficult ski runs. I am a member of two drama groups and when I have time enjoy treading the boards! I have a busy full-time job as a Project Manager in Mergers & Acquisitions.

I work part-time as a physical therapist, an artist. I am currently working on my masters in yoga therapy at MUIH in Laurel, MD. I an interested in learning, performing and competing in different genres. I recently have been working on west coast swing and want to learn viennese waltz. I am very athletic and a quick learning. Russia with Julia's Powers mom and coach Natalie Gorchakova.

After coming to USA I continued competing in International Latin for 10 years as well as 10 dance for 2 years. I have trained with Karina Smirnoff, Melissa Dexter and Giacomo, Jaana Kunitz, Luis Van Amstrong, Tony Redpath. I'm also passionate about Expressive Arts and love Argentine tango and good at it. My present focus right now is on performance and show production to use dancing as means of communication, upliftment, story telling and raising conscouisness through beautiful, passionate, heart felt performances.
