I absolutely love ballroom dancing of all genres and would really enjoy meeting someone who shares in this enjoyment just as much!

I enjoy everything from waltz, polka, (especially Polka Hop) chacha, East Coast and West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Night Club 2-Step and am open to learning any new dances or variations.

I learned the Argentine tango 20 years ago,

and attended weekly classes and milongas for over a year. Currently I’m am trying to relearn the dance with more quality, connection and musicality. I have been working with one of my original instructors in San Francisco.

Most dance couples follow the equation .5 + .3 = 2. I teach tango such that dancers understand that in all couples dances 1 + 1 must be greater than two. To reach this objective, I work on creating autonomous individuals. Axis and technical skills are required well before figures and style can be mastered.

Have had many years Competitive dancing in South Africa,having achieved Championship status, although I have not competed in the last two years.

I started dancing over 10 years ago and have taken lessons on and off over the years. I have done collegiate and Pro/Am competitions. I also did a non competitive show dance team for 2 years. Last year I transitioned from a student to a teacher at my studio but when covid hit I wasn't able to keep my job. I can socially dance almost any style and I have experience in both International and American styles.

I have been dancing and competing pro-am for 8 years in American and International styles. Lately, mostly Latin, standard is still an exciting challenge and I am learning Argentine Tango. I have trained longed hours and dance in silver and gold levels. Dancing is my passion and a wonderful way to meet wonderful people.

Ballroom to me is all the social dances and I get board quickly doing one dance over and over all night long. I've always had a knack for ballroom dancing...even as a child. Took lesson three years ago and thoroughly enjoy going swing or ballroom dancing as often as life permits. I'm a great follower...very light on my feet...sure hope you're a great lead!
